Job Description:
Responsible for applying coatings and performing surface finishing on metallic blades in accordance with workinstructions and quality standards. This role supports production by preparing materials, operating tools andequipment, inspecting parts, and completing required documentation. Ensures compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements while maintaining a clean and organized work environment and supporting overall operational objectives.
Job Responsibilities
Apply coatings and paint to various metallic blades in accordance to operations sheets
Mix paint and other solutions for coating process
Create coupons for workflow
Load and unload blades from furnaces and ovens as per required for curing process
Inspect blade as per specifications listed on work instructions
Identifies and evaluates patterns. Prior to removal of material determines method to remove material to meetcustomer specifications
Knows how to use handheld air powered tools such as grinders, sanders, and deburring tools
Demonstrates understanding of following standard operating procedures to acquire desired results in a timelymanner while meeting all quality aspects
Knowledge of surface finishing processes including blending and sanding parts (experience working withtitanium parts a plus)
Responsible for filling out or stamping approval of processes related documentation
Maintains records assoicated with periodic maintenance and orders spare/replacements parts as required
Maintains a clean work environment including assigned storage and cleaning duties in full compliance withcompany standards, customer and government regulations
Assists in the development and maintenance of a business culture, which supports the company's overallbusiness objectives and goals, to include issues that involve "cost, quality, procees, schedule and people"
Ensures the company's commitment to maintain a safe workplace and to protect the environment through the establishment and support of the Company policy and adherence to various government regulations
Fully complies with the Aerospace Inc Policy Statement on Contracting with the United States Government in all areas of responsibility involving direct and indirect contracting with the United States Government
Performs other duties, tasks and responsibilities as assigned
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
3+ years of experience in manufacturing
Must be able to read blueprints, schematics and diagrams
Must be a US Person (Citizen or Green Card Holder) or have the ability to obtain the necessary Government licensing to work with controlled technology and products
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with hazardous materials and/or chemicals
The ability to work as a team players as well as independently is required
Knowledge and experience in trouble shooting for safety, quality and technical issues with co-workers, quality and engineer functions
Must be willing to work in repetitive production environment with concern for meeting cost, quality and schedule requirements
Physical Requirements
Standing and walking (at least 7hrs/day)
Ability to carry and lift weight up to 25lbs
Bending, squatting, reaching, pushing and pulling required (at least 2hrs/day)
Use of hands for fine dexterity, light, and strong grasping (at least 7hrs/day)
