FPGA Engineer needed for a contract opportunity with SOC's client to work in Tucson, AZ.
*Candidates must have an Secret Clearance to be considered for this role.
FPGA Engineer with experience supporting FPGA development, verification, integration, and troubleshooting within complex digital hardware and defense engineering environments.

FPGA Engineer with experience supporting FPGA development, verification, integration, and troubleshooting within complex digital hardware and defense engineering environments.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop FPGA architectures and logic solutions in VHDL
- Architect FPGA-based systems - determine parts, interfaces, and CONOPS
- Translate system-level requirements into FPGA requirements
- Verify designs using self-checking techniques, directed tests, and constrained random tests; track functional and code coverage
- Support integration and debug from proof of concept through production
- Work closely with circuit card designers, systems engineers, and multidisciplinary teams
- Drive projects and execute to program schedules on time and budget
- Create documentation including requirements, verification plans, and user guides
- Support internal and external technical reviews
- Digital design and VHDL coding
- Xilinx or Microsemi devices and flow tools
- Delivering FPGA solutions to system-level applications
- Hands-on integration and debug experience
- Radar processing techniques
- Image processing for visual and infrared sensors
- Embedded systems design using ARM, Microblaze, or Nios processors
- Gigabit serial interfaces and multi-gigabit transceivers (MGTs)
- Constrained random verification in UVM using SystemVerilog
- Emulation platforms such as Veloce
