26-183 - System Integration Engineer
JOB SUMMARY:
The Systems Engineer / Integrator supports the integration, testing, and troubleshooting of the program hardware and software across distributed virtual and physical environments. This role focuses on ensuring end-to-end system functionality across networks, virtual machines, and message flows while supporting test events, operational readiness, and engineering analysis in a fast-paced government customer environment.
SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Integrate Command and Control, Battle Management and Communications hardware and software for the program into testbeds and operational environments
• Conduct full system checkout of virtual machines, network configurations, and message/data flows
• Support system-level test events, integration activities, and operational troubleshooting
• Analyze system logs, network configurations, and interface documentation to resolve complex issues
• Develop and execute test plans and procedures; document findings and results
• Create Problem Reports and provide actionable feedback to development teams
• Develop and modify scripts to extract and analyze log file data
• Perform analysis of system input/output and internal message traffic
• Collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and Government stakeholders across the Missile Defense System environment
• Participate in technical meetings with program stakeholders and integration teams
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
• 0–2 years of experience as a system integrator, system administrator, or in a related technical role
• Domain experience in one or more of the following: Networking, Linux, and/or Windows environments
• Basic troubleshooting skills in distributed system environments
• Ability to analyze logs, network configurations, and system/interface documentation
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with Government and contractor personnel
• Self-starter with ability to operate independently and within a team
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or other STEM field from an accredited institution
