Job Description

Systems Integration Analyst

Avum is seeking a Systems Integration Analyst to support application integration across defense procurement systems. This professional will collaborate with technical teams and functional subject matter experts (SMEs) to bridge stakeholder mission requirements with technical engineering workflows. This role spans system integration, testing, troubleshooting, service desk support, technical documentation and process refinement, serving as a core resource across all phases of the software development lifecycle. The Systems Integration Analyst will support requirements decomposition, monitor integration data flows, handle technical inquiries, execute testing, and troubleshoot system data exchanges.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Lead planning, integration, and testing to support system integrations and upgrades, escalating issues to Avum leadership and cross-functional teams as necessary to support successful Roadmap execution. 
  • Represent functional and technical requirements to partner system teams
  • Document requirements for functional and technical system enhancements
  • Monitor data flows, diagnose integration issues, and isolate root causes for interface errors
  • Provide functional support for application users leveraging the integrated systems
  • Develop and maintain associated documentation, including SOPs to support effective troubleshooting

Location

This fully remote role requires participation in virtual meetings using tools like Microsoft Teams. Availability is required during core Eastern Time (ET) hours, Monday through Friday. The candidate will coordinate remotely with external project teams and Avum employees and may be required to attend in-person meetings, which may require occasional travel to government sites in Washington, D.C., and the Avum office in Agoura Hills, California.

Requirements

What You will Need
  • Ability to work proactively and independently to support capability delivery
  • Extensive experience in enterprise procurement application support, system testing, and interface troubleshooting
  • A blend of functional procurement knowledge and technical skills (e.g., API understanding, data mapping, basic scripting) to optimize system usage
  • Proven track record in multi-disciplinary and hybrid technical/functional roles
  • Problem-solving mindset, analytical skills, and technical proficiency to investigate vague or complex system errors due to data mapping errors, system connectivity issues, and application dependencies
  • Experience developing and executing test scripts to validate end-to-end functionality across systems
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams, translate technical concepts for functional business users and vice versa, and translate complex operational data and testing results into actionable insights for application developers
  • Experience writing clear, structured technical documentation and support playbooks
  • U.S. Citizenship is required in addition to the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Clearance
  • BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or relevant field, and/or relevant experience

Nice to have
  • Hands-on familiarity with defense contract writing and financial systems, Global Exchange (GEX), Acquisition Management System (AMS), and Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment (PIEE)
  • Experience with the Purchase Request Data Standard (PRDS) and Procurement Data Standard (PDS) schema compliance
  • Extensive functional contract writing experience
