Mobius has an exciting position for a mid-level Flight Test Resources Engineer supporting the Missile Defense Agency’s Directorate for Test Resources (MDA/DTR). Mobius provides professional engineering and analysis expertise supporting various government agencies to solve some of the nation’s most challenging problems.  We are at the leading edge of technology supporting advanced missile defense system testing, engineering, analysis and wargames/exercises.  Working on the TEAMS-Next Test Support contract, the successful candidate would serve as an Advisory and Assistance Services contractor supporting the MDA/DTR Test Resource Management team as they plan and execute MDA flight tests.   

Redstone Arsenal – Our MDA analysts and engineers work in modern, well-appointed government facilities in Huntsville, Alabama, otherwise known as “Rocket City.”  Huntsville is the hub of missile and space research and development.  You will collaborate with other missile defense experts – military, government civilians, and contractors from Mobius and other companies.  Our team of experts helps the Government manage planning, development, analysis and delivery of state-of-the art sensors, weapons, communications, and command/control systems.

Duties of a Mid-level Flight Test Engineer may include: 


  • Assist with resources planning, architecture development, and execution of flight tests for the United States Space Force (USSF) Space Systems Command (SSC) Space Combat Power (SCP) Program Executive Office Space Based Interceptor (SBI) system.

  • Perform assessments to determine the capabilities and readiness of instrumentation, launch and test support equipment, test ranges, ground and flight test safety systems, and test countdown documentation.

  • Assist with developing test, range, and auxiliary sensor requirements and ensure they are reviewed and captured in the Universal Documentation System (UDS).

  • Develop test resource architectures that will meet the customer requirements and objectives.

  • Identify range and test resource conflicts with other MDA or non-MDA flight test schedules.

  • Identify conflicts in the architecture for radar, optical, communications, GPS-based instrumentation, and telemetry coverage.

  • Prepare schedules and coordinate deconfliction of test resource requirements with internal and external agencies.

  • Assist the government with preparation and execution of planning meetings and working groups.

  • Prepare briefings for formal reviews and other special topics. Work closely with analysts to oversee the telemetry link margin analysis (LMA) to ensure adequate telemetry coverage for the event.

  • Travel (~25%) is required for flight tests with potential deployments to Colorado Springs, CO; Vandenberg Space Force Base; White Sands Missile Range; Kwajalein; Wake Island; Kauai, HI; Kodiak, AK; or other test ranges.



Qualifications


  • Demonstrated expertise in applying program analytical principles and practices to developmental and operational programs.

  • Experience providing planning, monitoring, acquisition, and implementation support for complex systems.

  • Strong knowledge, skills, and abilities in data and systems analysis.

  • Ability to utilize, adapt, and develop analytic techniques and processes for both technical and administrative support activities.

  • Proven ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and assist in solving complex problems involving test planning, integration, execution, and analysis.



Education


  • BS in Engineering field with 7 years of relevant experience.



Clearance 


  • Active Secret or higher clearance
