.Net Developer

Blu Omega is seeking a .Net Developer to support a federal program focused on data modernization and analytics for the Department of Veterans Affairs. This role operates within a remote environment and is responsible for developing enterprise-level applications using .NET frameworks, APIs, and front-end frameworks. The position requires experience supporting mission-driven environments and supporting secure data transactions.
Program Overview
Program: Data and Analytics Modernization
Mission overview: This VA program aims to modernize data management, improve data quality, analytics capabilities, governance, and access to support faster, informed decision-making and better services for Veterans.

Work Authorization: US work authorization required
Responsibilities
• Develop enterprise applications using .NET frameworks and modern architectural approaches such as microservices and domain-driven design
• Build and sustain applications supporting secure data transactions and user-centered design principles
• Analyze needs and environment to ensure solutions consider current architecture and future enhancements
• Use secure AI-assisted engineering tools to improve code quality and modernization efforts
• Resolve Section 508 compliance issues for web-based applications and dashboards
• Mentor teammates and identify system improvements
Required Qualifications
• 9+ years of application development experience using .NET frameworks in enterprise environments
• Proficiency in developing APIs and back-end services
• 9+ years of experience with React, Angular, or Vue frameworks for front-end development
• Experience resolving Section 508 compliance issues
• Experience with secure AI-assisted engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Codex, or equivalent
• Strong understanding of user-centered design and application responsiveness
• Experience with relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, Netezza, DB2)
• US work authorization
• Active or eligible VA public trust clearance
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in the Federal Government, Veterans Affairs, or Healthcare IT sectors
• Experience with Azure, Web App Server IIS 8.5, .NET 4.5.2, and MS SQL Server 2016
• Angular/TypeScript experience
• Iris/ObjectScript experience
• Experience writing Windows services/tasks
• Experience configuring and maintaining IIS
• Experience with Fortify and static code analysis tools
• Microsoft Threat Modeling tool experience
• Visual Studio Code experience in addition to Visual Studio
• Knowledge of 508 compliance requirements and Agile frameworks
• SAFe certifications
Compensation
Salary Range: $145,000 - $160,000
