Job Summary

B&A is seeking a motivated and technically skilled DevOps Engineer to support the development, automation, deployment, and maintenance of cloud-based infrastructure and applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Linux administration, and automation tools, along with a strong desire to grow within a collaborative DevOps environment.

This role will work closely with development, infrastructure, and security teams to streamline deployment processes, maintain cloud environments, and ensure operational stability across multiple environments.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and support Kubernetes-based application deployments across multiple environments.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD deployment pipelines for containerized applications and infrastructure updates.
  • Automate Linux and Windows server administration tasks using scripting and configuration management tools.
  • Assist with the maintenance, monitoring, and optimization of AWS cloud environments.
  • Implement and maintain security standards and compliance requirements for Linux and Windows environments.
  • Support infrastructure provisioning, system upgrades, patching, and operational troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with development teams to improve deployment reliability and operational efficiency.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and recommend improvements to infrastructure and deployment processes.
  • Document deployment procedures, automation workflows, and operational standards.

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field.

Required Skills
  • Hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud services and administration.
  • Experience with automation and configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or AWS Systems Manager.
  • Experience with Linux administration and shell scripting and/or Windows Server administration with PowerShell.
  • Knowledge of containers and container orchestration technologies, including Kubernetes.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a DevOps Engineer, Systems Administrator, or related infrastructure role.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and adapt to evolving technologies.

Desired Skills
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Experience supporting hybrid Linux and Windows server environments.
  • Knowledge of cloud security best practices and vulnerability remediation.
  • Experience monitoring and logging using tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, or Splunk.
  • Familiarity with networking concepts, DNS, load balancing, and security groups within AWS.
  • Exposure to Agile or DevSecOps environments.
  • Relevant technical certifications are a plus, including:
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect
  • AWS Certified SysOps Administrator
  • Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
  • Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)

Security Clearance
  • Top Secret clearance required to start.
