Precise Systems is seeking a motivated, hands-on Senior Electronics Technician / Engineering Technician VI (30086) to support Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems (CUAS) test and evaluation activities, with a focus on threat device support, UAS pilot support, RF test equipment operation, field test execution, and electronic system troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will have senior-level electronics technician experience supporting RF systems, electronic countermeasure systems, test events, test equipment, unmanned systems, and field operations. This role requires a technician who can prepare, configure, operate, troubleshoot, maintain, and account for CUAS threat devices and related test equipment in both laboratory and field environments. This position will support CUAS test teams by ensuring threat devices, UAS platforms, RF equipment, cables, modules, assemblies, controllers, support equipment, and test assets are ready for execution, properly configured, safely operated, and accurately documented before, during, and after test events.

Requirement: The selected candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Group I/II s-UAS pilot certification and pass a FAA Class III physical.
This position is covered by the Service Contract Labor Standard under a Wage Determination. Duties:
- Provide hands-on electronics technician support for CUAS test and evaluation activities involving threat devices, unmanned aircraft systems, RF systems, sensors, test equipment, and supporting field infrastructure.
- Support threat device operations, including configuration, inspection, readiness verification, staging, inventory control, operation, recovery, maintenance, and post-test accountability.
- Serve as a UAS pilot or UAS support technician for CUAS test events as required.
- Obtain and maintain required UAS pilot certifications, licenses, and customer-required qualifications to support unmanned threat device operations.
- Support operation of target devices, including unmanned systems, communications devices, and remote support platforms, in accordance with required training and certification requirements. The SOW specifically requires applicable training, licensing, certifications, and designations for operation of target devices such as unmanned systems and remote support platforms.
- Configure, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain RF and electronic test equipment used to support CUAS testing.
- Test, troubleshoot, and repair RF systems, electronic assemblies, cables, modules, circuit cards, power interfaces, antennas, and related test equipment.
- Support test setup and teardown, including movement, staging, cabling, power setup, RF connections, controller setup, instrumentation support, and equipment recovery.
- Validate threat device functionality before test events and support post-test checks to identify performance changes, damage, anomalies, or configuration issues.
- Support target device characterization and maintenance before and after test events to verify proper performance and capture variances that may affect test results.
- Coordinate with test directors, engineers, range personnel, safety personnel, logistics personnel, and Government leads to ensure CUAS threat devices and supporting test equipment are ready for field execution.
- Assist with target logistics and inventory to ensure physical threat devices are available, functional, transported, returned, and properly accounted for after test events.
- Support modification or instrumentation of target hardware when required to enable remote use, monitoring, triggering, data collection, or field test execution.
- Repair and install cables, modules, assemblies, instrumentation hardware, RF components, and other equipment required for CUAS test execution.
- Support test equipment readiness, including equipment location tracking, operational checks, calibration awareness, configuration verification, and troubleshooting.
- Support the development, maintenance, and operation of Government test equipment, including custom-built, lab, and range test equipment.
- Collect and document test data, UAS operating status, target performance information, equipment status, anomalies, test deviations, and technician observations.
- Provide technical support during test events and assist engineers in diagnosing and resolving system issues.
- Attend planning meetings, Integrated Product Teams, scheduling sessions, test readiness reviews, field briefs, and post-test debriefs as required.
- Provide input and recommendations to improve field execution, target device readiness, equipment reliability, test efficiency, and data collection quality.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on assigned CUAS threat devices, test equipment, RF support equipment, and field support material.
- Support tactical vehicle driver duties when required for test events and field operations.
- Work in laboratory, warehouse, range, and outdoor field environments, including inclement weather conditions.
- Support travel to field test locations as required.
Desired Education:
- High School Diploma, Vocational Degree, technical school certificate, or GED.
Desired Experience:
- 10 years of related professional experience in electronics technology, RF systems, electronic countermeasure systems, test and measurement, or related technical support.
- Experience supporting RF hardware, RF circuitry, schematics, electronic troubleshooting, and test measurement activities.
- Experience testing, troubleshooting, and repairing RF systems or electronic systems.
- Experience providing technical support during test events.
- Experience using RF and electronic test equipment such as signal sources, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, vector network analyzers, receivers, antennas, and general-purpose test equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware issues at the system level and down to circuit card assembly, component, analog, digital, RF, power circuitry, and interface levels.
- Ability to work from schematics, circuit card layouts, technical drawings, test requirements, written instructions, and verbal direction.
- Ability to support UAS pilot duties or obtain required UAS pilot qualifications as directed by the customer.
- Ability to support target device operations involving unmanned systems or remote support platforms.
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities across multiple tasks.
- Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate with engineers, test personnel, technicians, logisticians, and Government stakeholders.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Must be willing to travel as required for field test events.
- Must be willing to work in inclement weather and outdoor field conditions.
- Must be able to lift more than 20 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active Secret clearance; Top Secret/SCI eligibility preferred.
- Experience supporting CUAS, electronic warfare, RF systems, unmanned aircraft systems, threat devices, tactical systems, or electronic countermeasure systems.
- Current or previous UAS pilot certification, FAA remote pilot experience, military UAS experience, or test range flight operations experience.
- Experience supporting threat device configuration, target validation, target logistics, inventory tracking, and test asset accountability.
- Experience with UAS mission planning, pre-flight checks, flight logs, battery management, payload setup, controller operation, recovery procedures, and post-flight inspection.
- Experience supporting CUAS field test events, range operations, over-the-air testing, developmental testing, or operationally relevant assessments.
- IPC solder certification.
- Proven soldering and rework experience, including surface mount components at the board level.
- Experience with tactical vehicle operations, support vehicles, mobile test assets, or field support platforms.
- Experience preparing trip reports, test observations, equipment status logs, technical summaries, or engineering support inputs.
- Experience supporting Navy, NAVSEA, NSWC Crane, Marine Corps, Army, or other DoD test programs.
