Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Managing facility operations and maintenance programs for a large organization; 2) Developing and implementing plans, policies, and procedures to ensure efficient use and upkeep of buildings and grounds; 3) Overseeing facility contracts and coordinating with contractors to ensure quality service delivery and compliance with requirements; 4) Planning and executing facility projects, including renovations and repairs, to support organizational needs; AND 5) Monitoring facility safety, security, and environmental compliance.
You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
Additional information
- Plans major renovations and construction projects, based on forecasted building and land utilization.
- Formulates and puts into effect sustainable operations and maintenance plans, to include economical space and work management operations policies, criteria, and procedures.
- Develops, evaluates, and implements immediate and long-range goals, objectives, budget projections, plans and schedules to meet substantial changes in program authority and/or funding.
- Assignments include tasks related to the museum building, amphitheater, parade field, Army trail and grounds operations, maintenance and utilization.
- Assures facilities and their operations comply with laws and regulations.
- Serves as Contracting Officer's Representative on engineering, maintenance, and service contracts.
