In this position, your work will have a profound impact on the country's most critical role - protecting our national security.

Why Join Us?

Expert Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning Analyst

KBR is seeking a highly experienced and self-directed Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning Analyst who can operate at both the strategic and technical levels. This role is ideal for someone who not only understands the "big picture" business and operational challenges, but can also personally architect, build, train, deploy, and refine AI/ML solutions from the ground up.

This is not a role for someone who only creates presentations or delegate's technical work. We are looking for a builder, innovator, analyst, and problem solver who can independently turn complex problems into working solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze organizational, operational, and technical challenges to identify AI/ML opportunities
  • Design, develop, train, test, and deploy machine learning and AI models
  • Translate high-level business goals into scalable technical solutions
  • Work across structured and unstructured datasets to generate actionable intelligence
  • Build predictive, analytical, and automation systems using modern AI frameworks
  • Develop prototypes, proofs-of-concept, and production-ready systems
  • Evaluate existing processes and recommend AI-driven improvements
  • Communicate technical findings and strategic recommendations to leadership
  • Stay current with advancements in artificial intelligence, machine learning, LLMs, automation, and data science
  • Lead or support AI strategy initiatives while remaining deeply hands-on technically

Required Qualifications:
  • Active TS/SCI with polygraph clearance required
  • Minimum 17+ years with a Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum 15+ years with Master's Degree
  • Senior-to-expert level experience in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, or related fields
  • Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and modern ML/AI frameworks
  • Experience with large language models (LLMs), neural networks, predictive analytics, and automation systems
  • Proven ability to independently develop end-to-end AI/ML solutions
  • Experience with cloud platforms and scalable AI infrastructure
  • Strong analytical thinking and systems-level problem-solving skills
  • Ability to move from concept to implementation with minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills

Preferred Qualifications:
  • PhD is preferred
  • Experience in the Intelligence/Space community
  • Experience with generative AI and transformer-based models
  • Familiarity with MLOps, model deployment, and AI governance
  • Experience integrating AI into operational or enterprise environments
  • Background in cybersecurity, intelligence analysis, operations research, finance, healthcare, logistics, or other data-intensive industries
  • Experience leading technical initiatives or mentoring teams

Work Environment:
  • Location: On-Site Chantilly VA
  • Travel Requirements: Minimal 0-20%
  • Working Hours: Standard
