Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Program Manager 3 to join our team of qualified individuals within the Research and Advanced Design (R&AD) division. This leadership role will be in Niceville, FL with frequent travel to Melbourne, FL and Redondo Beach, CA.
As the Program Manager in NGAS Expendables, you will be responsible for leading program capture, program execution, and related NCTA and planning activities. This position will include work focused on capturing and leading programs NGAS. This role requires a high degree of customer acumen, strategic foresight, and leadership experience in creating development programs to support USG rapid acquisition framework.
You will lead a cross-functional team of engineers, operational analysts, system engineers, business management, business development, contracts, subcontracts, legal, and other key stakeholders in a fast-paced environment that demands innovation, flexibility, and accountability.

Primary Level Salary Range: $166,700.00 - $250,100.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

- Shape and lead efforts to capture expendable / one-way uncrewed air system and weapon development and production programs.
- Lead program execution of programs from concept definition through detailed design, integration, flight testing, and production.
- Develop solutions aligned with Northrop Grumman's Digital Engineering thread, Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), and Agile development practices.
- Serve as the primary interface with government program offices, exploring technical solutions, shaping and capturing new business, supporting program execution.
- Collaborate closely with internal functional partners including Engineering, Contracts, Supply Chain, Quality, Security, Legal, and Business Management.
- Proactively manage risk, opportunities, and program milestones to ensure delivery within cost, schedule, and technical performance targets.
- Champion mission success and customer satisfaction by fostering a culture of operational excellence and accountability across the program team.
- Interface with executive leadership and contribute to strategic planning and long-term capability development in expendables.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and 10 years of related professional/military experience, OR a Master's degree and 8 years of related professional/military experience.
- 5 years' experience in a program, IPT, or project leadership role.
- Experience managing cost, schedule, and technical performance on defense programs.
- Demonstrated experience leading rapid development or prototyping programs that included hardware deliverables.
- Experience working directly with government expendable and weapon customers, including acquisition authorities.
- Program of Record / Acquisition Program experience.
- Must have an active U.S. Government clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Top Secret clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs.
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs.
- Must have the willingness and ability to travel extensively
Preferred Qualifications:
- STEM degree
- Experience and familiarity with AFLCMC/EB, Air Combat Command, and Global Strike Command.
- Expendable / weapon acquisition program experience.
- Knowledge of expendable / weapon systems, subsystems, and testing.
- Platform integration and weapon employment experience
