Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems, Air Dominance Division is seeking a Deputy Operating Unit Program Director to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The position is located in Oklahoma City, OK and involves travel.
The program deputy director assists in leading all phases of programs from inception through completion. Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs. Participates in the negotiation of contracts and contract changes. Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets, operating unit strategy and financial terms/conditions of contracts. Acts as a customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customers to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance. Develop new business or expand the product line with the customer. Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications. Directs the work of employees assigned to the program.
In addition to the program role, the deputy program director will support various higher-level operating unit functions such as strategy development, capture, proposals, and internal quality assessments.

Primary Level Salary Range: $183,500.00 - $275,300.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and 10 years (or Bachelor of Science in STEM and 9 years) of related experience as defined below, OR a Master's degree and 8 years (or Master of Science in STEM and 7 years) of related experience as defined below:
- Related experience includes professional and/or military experience to include a background in project management, program management, engineering, capture efforts, and/or business management related functions.
- 3 years in program or project leadership roles.
- Willing to travel up to 50% of the time.
- EVMS Proficiency.
- Must have an active U.S. Government Top Secret clearance or higher (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 7 years' experience as a program manager overseeing at least $250M/year in annual sales and organizing multi-disciplined teams of more than 200 employees supporting diverse customers.
- Experience with sustaining engineering support, software sustainment and life cycle management of weapons systems.
- Experience in managing geographically separated teams, including OCONUS.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Strong financial acumen.
- Demonstrated success in strategy, program execution, and proposal support
- Demonstrated success in maintaining, enhancing, supporting existing products after release, focusing on product life cycle management, quality improvement and cost efficiency.
- Demonstrated success in root cause analysis, engineering changes, and improvements to customer experience.
