Description:The Quality Analyst Associate provides entry-to-mid-level support for the organization's quality assurance activities. Working under the guidance of senior quality staff, the associate helps plan, execute, and document inspections, tests, and audits, while gathering and analyzing data to drive continuous improvement and ensure compliance with internal standards and external regulations.
What You Will Be Doing
1 Test Planning & Execution - Assist in developing inspection work instructions, and acceptance criteria; conduct functional or mechanical tests as directed.
2 Data Capture & Reporting - Record defect data, and non-conformance information in a quality management system (QMS); generate basic daily/weekly quality metrics reports.
3 Non-Conformance Management - Log non-conformances (NCs), support root-cause investigations, and help prepare corrective-action documentation for review.
4 Process Audits - Participate in internal audits; perform checklist-based inspections and document findings.
5 Statistical Analysis - Use Excel (pivot tables, charts, basic formulas) and introductory statistical tools (e.g., SPC charts) to identify trends and support problem-solving.
6 Documentation Control - Ensure that quality records, test reports, and work instructions are up-to-date, and properly versioned.
7 Continuous-Improvement Support - Contribute ideas to Lean or Six-Sigma initiatives; help implement small-scale process changes under supervision.
8 Cross-Functional Collaboration - Communicate data results and quality concerns to engineering, manufacturing, and program teams; attend regular status meetings.
9 Training & Mentoring - Participate in on-the-job training; when qualified, provide basic quality-related guidance to new hires or interns.
10 Safety & Compliance - Follow all safety procedures, maintain awareness of ITAR/EAR and relevant industry standards (e.g., AS9100, ISO-9001).
Basic Qualifications:
-Associate's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Applied Science, or related field or equivalent relevant work experience.
-Must be a US Citizen and have ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
-0-2 years of experience in quality assurance, inspection, or a manufacturing environment (internships, co-ops, or entry-level roles acceptable).
-Proficient with Microsoft Office.
-Familiarity with basic statistical concepts.
-Regulatory Knowledge
-Basic understanding of AS9100/ISO-9001 requirements
Desired Skills:
-Certifications such as ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI), Six-Sigma Green Belt, or CQA.
-Experience with statistical software or scripting languages for data analysis.
-Prior exposure to aerospace or defense manufacturing processes.
-Exposure to a QMS (Quality Management System) is a plus.
-Awareness of ITAR/EAR compliance is advantageous.
-Strong attention to detail and ability to follow documented procedures.
-Good verbal and written communication.
-Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
-Proactive attitude, willingness to learn and take on new tasks.
