Require resumes for regional Senior Healthcare Consultant (SHC) to perform tasks related to sustaining and further developing customer/member relationships of MMCAP members within the geographic territory respondent proposes to cover. MMCAP account management services are currently divided into six (6) regions across the United States. Meetings with members and prospective members, as well as participation in industry conferences and trade shows, are expected to be held primarily in-person, requiring the respondent to travel extensively. Currently we require one regional Senior Healthcare Consultant (SHC) per region which may go up or down as per clarity received through Q&As.
Resumes who will be proposed for placement into the role of Senior Healthcare Consultant, which includes a list of all career experiences, academic degrees, professional certifications or licensure, honors, awards, or any life achievements that may be applicable to this position. Provide names of three of the firm's professional clients that will serve as references including contact information and context of acquaintance. Additionally, the Respondent will prepare and submit timely reports of calls, emails, meetings, expenses, data requests, reporting, market intelligence, member feedback, vendor issues and concerns, and recommendations for changes and improvements within MMCAP processes and procedures.
The Respondent must understand the sensitive nature of the information and data that is a part of MMCAP's day-to-day operations and display a willingness to protect that potentially sensitive information. The selected Respondent(s) will be required to agree to and sign an appropriate Non-Disclosure Agreement, a Non-Complete Agreement, and a Respondent Code of Business Conduct.

- State government procurement involving vendor management and member outreach
- For a pharmaceutical group purchasing organization, a healthcare products and services group purchasing organization, or in pharmacy healthcare delivery, or
- The functional equivalent of one of these roles.

Desired Skills
To effectively perform the responsibilities of the position, it is desired that the Respondent will possess the following skills and abilities:
- A credible pharmacy lexicon and industry background coupled with a solid understanding of and demonstrated abilities in the price, placement, and promotion of pharmacy and healthcare products and services to effectively implement programs, manage regional accounts, develop new business opportunities, and achieve member compliance within a complex GPO (Group Purchasing Organization) marketplace.
- General business administration knowledge and understanding of pharmacy and healthcare products and services procurement practices and use are essential so member needs can be properly assessed and resolved.
- A comprehensive understanding of all aspects of major GPO plans throughout the country and within the region including distribution, rebate issues, specialty programs, and the mechanics of pharmacy transactions, pricing, promotional patterns, and new product development.
- Effective organizational skills and self-motivation to drive sales within a defined region.
- Experience managing program budgets, developing sales strategy, negotiating issues, setting priorities, meeting deadlines, and executing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Comprehensive technical knowledge of the pharmacy industry.
- Knowledge of medical supplies and other healthcare products and services business lines.
- Established contacts with trade associations, stakeholders, and brokers within the region you propose to cover.
- Demonstrated abilities in resolution of pharmaceutical procurement issues; knowledge of reliable data sources; and the ability to accurately gather and interpret member regional data so that market trends, customer needs, and new member opportunities can be accurately identified and addressed.
- Excellent verbal and written skills.
- Experience in meeting facilitation, public presentations, and working with diverse stakeholders, including member pharmacists, member leadership, and clinicians.
- Strong interpersonal skills including effective listening, proactive diplomacy, observing proper protocol and building productive relationships.
- Demonstrated familiarity with business software applications, personal computers, and mobile communication devices.
- Knowledge of reliable data sources and the ability to accurately gather and interpret member regional data so that market and new member opportunities can be accurately identified, reviewed and assessed.
Sample Tasks and Deliverables.
The Respondent will:
- Educate existing and prospective member facilities on the benefits of MMCAP and explore options on how customers can save money and add efficiencies to their purchasing processes by utilizing MMCAP programs and contracts.
- Conduct business reviews, provide member services, manage accounts, develop and improve member contract compliance, and promptly resolve problems or issues.
- Train and educate MMCAP members and prospective members on MMCAP policies, procedures, and purchasing best practices.
- Gather market intelligence and report key information to MMCAP management, contract managers, and appropriate staff members.
- Represent MMCAP at industry conferences and meetings, and exhibit at trade shows.
- Consult and collaborate with other knowledgeable public and private organizations, trade associations, and industry professionals to gain a greater understanding of market/industry opportunities and market trends and conditions to create effective ways of targeting and streamlining the implementation of the MMCAP program.
- Stay current with all aspects of pharmaceutical products, healthcare products, and services in general, in particular those that pertain to MMCAP and its members, including procurement strategy; compliance; supply chain; distribution rules and requirements; regulatory and legal issues; payment options; and risks.
- Use tools provided by MMCAP, including data analytics and customer success management systems/platforms, to improve efficiencies and member experience.

- Face-to-face meetings with member facilities.
- Conducting business reviews with member facilities.
- Conducting quarterly business reviews.
- Performing on-site member onboarding, implementation, and training.
- Advising members on procurement optimization.
- Serving as the primary point of contact to promptly identify and resolve member issues.
- Responding to member questions, concerns, or requests in a timely manner and conveying those interactions to the appropriate MMCAP staff.
The Respondent will spend 25% of their time focusing on activities to increase contract compliance, including:
- Tracking and improving member contract compliance.
- Training members to identify on-contract purchase savings.
- Monitoring member contract pricing and conveying any discovered issues to the MMCAP contract manager.
The Respondent will spend their remaining time focusing on activities to add new member facilities to the MMCAP membership. These activities will include:
- Attend MMCAP at industry conferences, meetings, and trade shows on MMCAP's behalf, identifying and recruiting prospective members, and identifying and targeting high potential new business opportunities.
- Meeting with prospective members to present MMCAP's capabilities and contract portfolio as a vehicle to cost savings and procurement efficiencies.
- Participating in MMCAP's in-person annual National Member Conference and Midyear Meetings.
- Relaying competitive and market intelligence to MMCAP managers, contract managers, and appropriate staff members.
