Job Description
Title: Network Engineer
Client: U.S. Army Responsive Strategic Sourcing for Services (RS3)
Location: Saudi Arabia
Clearance: Secret
The person shall maintain the existing NIPR/SIPR connectivity; shall work with a local subcontractor to expand, install and configure all the components for inside the plant, The engineer shall coordinate IT requirements with the Compound subcontractors who will execute Outside Plant requirements, the engineer shall maintain separate red and black interior signal cable distribution systems, exterior and interior cable systems, shall support unscheduled maintenance and trouble calls. The Contractor shall provide on-call support and respond to outages. Responsible for maintaining and operating NIPR/SIPR network infrastructure, including fiber/copper cabling, routers, switches, network monitoring, configuration management, outage response, preventive maintenance, encryption device support, including infrastructure installation, documentation, AutoCAD drawings, real-time network restoration, and ensuring compliance with DoD/BICSI standards. Must have minimum Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) level certification (or equivalent) for networking,
The person will participate in defining best circuit bandwidth requirements and assist in implementing new network path(s) to the DOD network using other means such as using commercial internet lines, satellite links when they becomes available and the DoD approves their use.
