Key Responsibilities

Compliance & RMF Management
Package Review: Evaluate RMF package submissions to ensure architectures and technical features protect against unauthorized access and meet DoD/Navy safeguards.

Documentation: Develop or expand RMF and Cybersecurity documentation in accordance with NIST standards and Navy policy.

Workflow Optimization: Develop procedures for RMF workflow processes, accreditation decision milestones, and criteria for process facilitation.

Risk Assessment: Perform Certification Authority (CA) risk assessments and provide formal reports including analysis and recommendations.

Inspection & Audit Support
Post-CSI Support: Analyze data resulting from Cyber Security Inspections (CSI) for USFF and subordinate commands.

Adjudication: Support inspection finding adjudication in the Vulnerability Management System (VMS).

Validation: Conduct compliance and documentation validation assessments for applications, systems, and networks.

Trend Analysis: Analyze trends in RMF findings and develop monthly Dashboards for USFF leadership review.

Stakeholder Engagement & Deliverables
Communications: Coordinate with cross-functional Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and engage pertinent stakeholders to influence mission objectives.

Reporting: Assist in developing point papers, naval messages, briefings, and After Action Reports (AARs).

Standardization: Create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), checklists, workflow charts, and POC lists to support cybersecurity functions.

Minimum Qualifications

Education & Experience

Education: Bachelor’s degree in a Cybersecurity field (no experience required) OR an Associate degree in a related field with 2 years of related experience.

Experience Alternative: In lieu of a degree, 5 years of specific experience in the qualifications listed below is required.

General Experience: At least 3 years of professional experience in cybersecurity.

Technical Skills & Knowledge
Frameworks: Demonstrated knowledge of the DoD RMF process and NIST standards.

Tools: Hands-on experience with the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) and VMS.

Cybersecurity Concepts: Expertise in vulnerability analysis, risk mitigation, and Security Test and Evaluation (ST&E).

Technical Compliance: Knowledge of DISA STIG requirements and the implementation/compliance process.

Infrastructure: Familiarity with virtualization, networking (Firewall Policy, IP Ports/Protocols), Windows/Linux OS, and storage/backup.

Certifications & Clearance
Certification: Must meet IAT Level II requirements (typically CompTIA Security+).

Clearance: Must possess an Active Secret Security Clearance.

Communication: Strong oral and technical writing skills are essential for briefing leadership and drafting formal documentation.
