Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a full-time Early Junior AI Engineer - Early Career who has a passion for AI development and big data analyses. You will be collaborating with seasoned experts to design, develop, and roll out cutting edge AI solutions that power Lockheed Martin's operational excellence. You'll gain hands on experience with AI development, statistical analysis, and data governance all while making an immediate, visible impact on the way we build tomorrow's aerospace systems.
Must be a US Citizen. This position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, AI/ML or related field
• Experienced in Python and foundational machine learning concepts, with the ability to develop, train, and evaluate models
• Experience in developing, training, and deploying deep learning models using machine learning frameworks.
Desired Skills:
• Familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs) and/or Generative AI (GenAI)
• Familiarity with GenAI Coding Assistants
• Experience with agentic AI frameworks
• Understanding of agile development methodologies and version control systems (e.g., Git)
• Experience with data governance frameworks, metadata management, and data catalog tools.
• Experience with aircraft manufacturing processes
• Strong organization and communication skills

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
