Position Summary
The Senior Business Development Manager supports the Growth organization to achieve growth and profit objectives, specifically through Capture and Proposal Development/Management in building customer relationships, positioning the company for both large and mid-sized strategic pursuits.
The Senior Business Development Manager is responsible for developing and implementing specific pursuit strategies to win Trideum new business pursuits. These strategies include: teaming, solution (technical, management, and cost) development, win strategy, value proposition and win theme development, competitive analysis, price to win analysis, proposal staffing/development, proposal writing, and color reviews. The Senior Business Development Manager leads the development, implementation, and successful execution of these winning capture strategies, supporting the business case, and developing bid and proposal budgets. The Senior Business Development Manager is responsible for the management of capture and proposal activities including timely and substantive gate reviews, in-process updates, process compliance and transition to the program execution team. In addition, the Senior Business Development Manager will be responsible for: customer focused marketing to develop solutions to customer problems, and win/loss analysis, lessons learned and related process improvements.
The position requires a close working relationship with counterparts in Trideum Sectors, as well as other parts of Trideum in a "One Company" environment. In addition, the Senior Business Development Manager will be expected to build and maintain a close working relationship with Trideum leadership and customers. The successful candidate will be experienced and understands Business Development, Capture and Proposal development processes. Specific experience leading teams to capture critical and strategic competitive pursuits is highly desirable.

What You'll Do
- Develop and implement business development strategies that align with business unit and goals and objectives
- Conduct in-depth market analysis and other research activities for future opportunities that align with the company's strategic vision, enter them into the company's CRM, and progress them forward via capture actions/tasks
- Define target markets, identify, and qualify new business opportunities within those markets.
- Lead the development and management of strategic capture plans
- Contribute to proposal preparation and submittal and perform post-award stewardship to ensure a successful transition to operations for execution
- Perform various duties throughout the business development lifecycle, including but not limited to Capture Manager, Proposal Manager, Cross-Functional collaboration, writer, Book Boss, and/or color reviewer
- Apply the company's Business Development process
- Develop value propositions that enhance the company's competitive position and achieve client objectives
- Evaluate key personnel for contract/task bids/proposals, when appropriate
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and industry influencers. Recommend strategic hires, mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures when appropriate in support of business development strategies
- Provide leadership and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development
- Stay current with industry trends and adapting strategies to meet evolving market demands and technological advancements
- Travel up to 50%, including conferences, corporate meetings, and customer engagements.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Business Management, Engineering, or other field.
- Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Business Management or Engineering or other related field.
- 12+ years of experience in a combination of business development, capture management, and team leadership demonstrating an ability to build winning strategies, win themes, and value propositions and lead teams of individuals
- Proven record of successfully growing a business with expanded customers and markets both DoD and or Civil Government, CONUS and OCONUS
- Advanced understanding of the government procurement, fiscal, and regulatory environment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficient in negotiations and teaming arrangements
- Demonstrates strong team leadership and interpersonal skills requiring minimal direction
- Ability to manage diverse teams
- The ability to operate independently but still retain an enterprise focus and develop an environment of collaboration
- Demonstrated networking capabilities among Special Operations and Intelligence Community entities
- Direct experience with both services and solutions and/or product oriented business development.
- Must have an active Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
- Desired Skills/Qualifications:
- Senior level military, government or services business experience
- Clear thinker with strategic capacity to sift through complex information and focus on the critical few priorities
- Integrate regulatory, customer, political and market information into effective capture strategies and plans
- Responds quickly and directly to resolve conflict within a multi-disciplined environment
- Provides candid feedback to employees to optimize personal growth and contribution to Trideum
- US citizenship with the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
