AV (AeroVironment) Defense & Interagency Services Business Unit ( DISBU) is searching for an Executive Administrator to support the VP, DISBU and Division Leaders. This position is located on-site in Dayton, OH. As a leading defense technology provider, our strategy is to grow our business by delivering innovative, mission-critical, safe and reliable multi-domain solutions tailored to our customers most pressing challenges.

As an Administrative Assistant with AV, you will play an important role in organizing, managing and keeping the VP , and division leads operating at a high level. You will be respons ible for various administrative and organizational tasks like meeting management , calendar management and overall support of administrative functions.

Primary Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in the coordination, planning and execution of a variety of activities and events (local and company-wide).


  • Coordinate meetings, travel, conference calls and expense management .


  • Perform administrative duties for an individual, department or business unit.


  • Create and edit documents, generate reports, spreadsheets and presentations.


  • Manage schedules, arrange appointments and itineraries.


  • Greets and provides general support to visitors.


  • Ensure presentations and conference rooms are prepared prior to meetings


  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field


  • 7 years administrative experience; prefer experience supporting a senior member of management


  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy


  • Excellent organizational, analytical, critical thinking skills.


  • Proven ability to manage priorities and workflow and respond to changing priorities and work well under pressure


  • Excellent interpersonal skills with high energy, positivity and professionalism


  • Experience working in a fast-paced, changing environment


  • Must be able to collaborate and interact effectively with diverse individuals and teams


  • Self-starter with the ability to work under minimal guidance and direction


  • Discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive information and dealing with confidential matters


  • Willingness to work outside regular business hours as needed to support business needs


  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint) and other relevant software applications, with the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies


  • Professional demeanor and ability to defuse emotional situations in a calm manner

The salary range for this role is:
$64,500 - $91,350

AeroVironment considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the location, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.

This position requires access to information that is subject to compliance with the International Traffic Arms Regulations ("ITAR") and/or the Export Administration Regulations ("EAR").
