Federal Contracts Manager/Team Lead
Exempt
Summary
The Contracts Manager is responsible for all phases of contract administration, including proposal support, contract administration, and fulfillment IAW policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications.
Essential Functions
• Essential Functions as outlined in Contracts Administrator
position(s)
• The CM assists in the preparation of bids and proposals, conducting price/cost analysis support, progress, as well as other various reports.
• Able to understand complex contract requirements and effectively train team members.
• Monitor and reporting on contract performance and compliance.
• Conduct contract file reviews in support of government audits.
• Strong understanding of FAR and DFARS and how they apply to Sterling’s contracts.
• Understand and prepare government representations and certifications.
• Manage multiple priorities and meet required deadlines.
• Experience managing/administering complex IDIQ contracts (e.g., NASA SEWP, GSA, or alike etc.)
• Prepare reports on required information and key metrics for Sterling leadership.
• May be called upon to perform comparable duties of a similar or related nature and/or assist in other areas as needed.
• Facilitate discussion and resolution for adverse contract actions (e.g., contract performance strike, CPAR rating, termination, disputes etc.) and ability to know when to escalate.
Education and Experience
• Bachelors Degree and/or
• 3-5 years of direct experience as a contracts administrator.
Preferred Experience: 5+ years direct contract experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Experience with US Federal market and contract vehicles.
• Must be a self-starter who exhibits leadership and business acumen skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and act as the acknowledged expert within the function.
High level of proficiency in Microsoft, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Forward leaning, able to look at the broader strategy and outcomes beyond immediate task.
