Job Description
We are seeking a mid-level IT Systems Administrator / Help Desk Specialist to support day-to-day IT operations, user support, systems administration, and cybersecurity compliance efforts. This role combines traditional help desk responsibilities with systems administration and security support in a Microsoft-based environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage and resolve IT support tickets in a timely manner
• Provide user support including password resets, authentication troubleshooting, and application access support
• Create, manage, and disable user accounts and permissions
• Configure and maintain access to Microsoft Teams, SharePoint sites, shared folders, and other collaboration tools
• Create and manage Teams and SharePoint environments, including linking Teams to SharePoint sites and assigning appropriate permissions
• Support Microsoft 365 / Office 365 administration and cloud-based application management
• Manage Microsoft virtual environments and virtual desktop infrastructure
• Build, configure, image, and deploy laptops and workstations for new hires and existing employees, including remote setup support
• Install, patch, update, and maintain software, operating systems, and applications
• Monitor systems and security alerts in support of CMMC compliance requirements
• Assist with cybersecurity-related tasks including vulnerability remediation, patch management, and incident response escalation
• Support endpoint management and ensure systems meet organizational security standards
• Maintain documentation for systems, processes, and user support procedures
Qualifications
• 5+ years of IT support, systems administration, or help desk experience
• Experience administering Microsoft 365 / Office 365 environments
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Active Directory, and user permissions management
• Experience working with virtual environments and imaging/deploying laptops
• Knowledge of endpoint management, software deployment, and patch management
• Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and security monitoring tools
• Understanding of CMMC compliance requirements or general cybersecurity compliance frameworks
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently and prioritize multiple support requests
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience supporting hybrid or remote users
• Familiarity with Microsoft virtualization technologies
• Experience with security alert monitoring and remediation
• Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Microsoft 365, Azure, or related certifications are a plus
