Test Automation Lead
Location: Remote
Clearance: Public Trust
YOE: 5 to 8 years
The Test Automation Lead (TAL) is responsible for the organization, execution and coverage of test automation for the program and will be working in a high intensity, deadline driven environment. They will be responsible for planning, designing, deploying, maintaining and troubleshooting through all layers of the Testing Development Life Cycle. The TAL responsible for Test Automation will work as part of the testing Team, with the program management and be responsible for working with both front-end development teams to facilitate the delivery needs of the program and ensure an end-to-end test suite ahead of Pilot. The TAL will leverage test plans to incorporate automation tests as part of the build process, create test plans in accordance with the overall test strategy, design, document and execute test automation framework. The TAL will also mentor Test Engineers on the front-end development teams to increase the skill of others. The TAL, along with other members of the testing team, will be responsible for demoing automated tests and ensure the team meets deadlines for functionality ready to be automated. Experience working in an agile development environment, experience in automation for Pilot, functionality-based testing, organizing scenario-based testing for automation, and leading delivery for automation testing are all encouraged.
Designs, develops, and provides automation of various application functionalities and business use cases to automate a series of pre- defined requirements. Requirements will be met using various programming languages like C#, Selenium and Power BI. Acts as a recognized technical expert in automation testing as well as the specific system we are building. Functions as the highest-level individual contributor in at least one technical area. Utilizes expertise in business management practices, industry requirements and information technology disciplines to develop technical and/or business solutions to ensure end to end automated testing can be performed prior to Pilot. Has a high level of diverse technical and industry experience related to a specific skillset. Typically has specialization in a particular technology or business application. Keeps abreast of technological developments and industry trends for automated testing. Requires approximately three years additional experience over the master level. Additional education, training and/or certifications are required in relevant field over the master level. Advanced degree or significant equivalent experience required.
10 plus years of development experience with Microsoft SQL ServerMore than 8 years of experience in SQL scripting (extremely strong SQL skills required, including writing T-SQL stored procedures)
Ability to create reports using Power BI .
Strong skills in Selenium, Easy Repro, and C# coding language
Experience standing up a testing team and establishes best practices and team standards to produce an extensive automated test suite.
Experience troubleshooting existing automated testing programs as requirements change and new functionality is built.
Ability to demo highly technical work like automated tests for a functional audience.
Ability to own the tracking and documentation of testing metrics using Power BI, Excel, or similar tools
Excellent C# coding skills with a strong understanding of software design patterns and best practices.
Experience with different kinds of automated tests including browser, API, and unit tests, and an understanding of when to apply each.
Ability to demo highly technical work like automated tests for a functional audience.
Ability to own the tracking and documentation of testing metrics.
Desired:
Skills in Playwright, Selenium, Easy Repro, Postman, or Power Apps Model Driven Apps (Microsoft CRM).
Experience building and leading a testing team, including establishing best practices, team standards, and a comprehensive automated test suite.
Experience troubleshooting existing automated testing programs as requirements change and new functionality is built.
Experience with testing automation tools.
Experience with using MCP Servers and agentic coding.
Experience with trends in the testing automation industry around the use of AI.

Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range: $110,000 - $140,000 (Compensation is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, work experience, skills, education, certifications, seniority, and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.)
