Summary
The Sr. Manager, Embedded Cybersecurity Engineering is an experienced cybersecurity professional with extensive knowledge in embedded systems security, product cybersecurity, and team leadership within the Autonomous Systems (AxS) segment. As a member of the Engineering leadership team, this role participates in executing the overall cybersecurity and technology roadmap that drives business growth in a competitive defense market. Responsible for building and leading a functional cybersecurity organization with the capabilities and capacity to secure products throughout the entire development lifecycle while ensuring compliance with relevant security standards and contract requirements.

The salary range for this role is:
$141,000 - $200,025

Summary

Responsible for building and leading a functional cybersecurity organization with the capabilities and capacity to secure products throughout the entire development lifecycle while ensuring compliance with relevant security standards and contract requirements.
Position Responsibilities
- Manages a team of cybersecurity engineering professionals, including budget planning, staffing, training, performance evaluation, and career development
- Plans workload and allocates resources to meet project demands and cybersecurity objectives
- Mentors cybersecurity engineers and promotes professional development across the team
- Provides weekly status updates on cybersecurity program progress and risk mitigation efforts
- Maintains high levels of customer satisfaction with both internal and external stakeholders
- Leads the implementation of embedded system security practices across multiple projects
- Guides product R&D teams to implement security controls for product/system-wide security needs
- Coordinates with Electrical, Systems, and Software engineering teams to ensure security requirements are addressed throughout the design and development lifecycle
- Oversees the development of tools, processes, and policies to prevent, detect, and resolve security issues across the entire development lifecycle, including supply chain and manufacturing
- Develops and implements cybersecurity strategies aligned with business objectives and regulatory requirements
- Oversees vulnerability assessments, incident response, and mitigation implementation across embedded products
- Ensures products comply with relevant security standards (NIST, ISO 27001, NISPOM) and contract requirements
- Continuously evaluates the effectiveness of implemented cybersecurity controls and implements countermeasures for emerging threats
- Provides security-related deliverables for regulatory bodies and customer contracts
- Other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience)
- Bachelor's degree is required Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or in a related field or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Advanced degree, MBA or MS is highly preferred.
- CompTIA Security+, GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC), or equivalent verifiable credentialed certification
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience required.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a leadership role.
- Proven track record managing cybersecurity requirements from concept through production.
- Experience achieving compliance with cybersecurity standards (ISO 27001, NIST frameworks, NISPOM).
- Experience with hardware security, cryptographic implementations, and secure embedded system design
Other Qualifications & Desired Competencies
- CISSP, CISM, CompTIA CASP, CEH, or OSCP
- Deep knowledge of embedded hardware, firmware, and software security
- Experience with wireless and network communications security
- Knowledge of cryptographic algorithms, protocols, and implementation attacks (side-channel, fault injection)
- Experience with cybersecurity testing and validation tools (ACAS, Tenable.sc, Nessus, Nexpose)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical, critical thinking and interpersonal skills, with the ability to speak and write persuasively
- Demonstrated experience working with cross-functional teams; ability to develop and maintain internal and external trusting, professional relationships

Physical Demands
