Northrop Grumman's Enterprise Global Supply Chain-Infrastructure Program Support (GSC-IPS) is seeking a Principal Supply Chain Planning Specialist to support our Supplier Relationship & Performance Management organization. The successful candidate will support the strategic & critical segmentation of our Enterprise's supply base while enhancing supplier-partnerships. The candidate will be trusted to maximize the strength and performance of our supply base, provide best-in-class supply chain support to our internal and external customers, and develop mutually beneficial partnerships with Northrop Grumman's suppliers to make us an industry customer of choice.
This position will be virtual and can be performed anywhere within the continental United States. Teleworking arrangements are subject to change based on the needs of the business.

Primary Level Salary Range: $85,600.00 - $128,400.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

- Drive supplier accountability to ensure cost, quality and delivery is aligned to contractual and program requirements
- Foster strategic partnerships with key suppliers while exceeding internal customer expectations in leveraging GSC's value to the broader internal organization
- Improve our ability to sense and respond to supply chain challenges and risks, minimizing adverse impacts to our customers and programs as best possible
- Streamline and automate GSC processes that enhance speed, agility, and quality of our service delivery to the internal customers we support
Job Duties will include the following:
- Support GSC execution and strategy for subcontracts and supplier performance management
- Provide analysis and oversight on subcontracts and supplier statements of work (S/SOWs), develop critical performance criteria to support execution of those Subcontracts
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and other metrics (as req'd) to support internal customer objectives and strategies
- Define and develop subcontract strategy to support internal customer execution with clear objectives and expectations to the suppliers supporting
- Develop engaging and collaborative relationships with suppliers and internal partners / customers to drive problem resolutions
- Act as liaison for Global Supply Chain team in support of both suppliers and internal, cross-sector stakeholders
- Support analysis of subcontract and sourcing approaches, determine and evaluate criteria for subcontractor statements of work (SOWs), support gate management reviews to ensure best value decisions for internal stakeholders
- Support cross-collaborative review of solicitations and bid responses to determine best value strategic sourcing decisions for internal customers
- Coordinate strategies with project leaders, develop target objectives and pricing to negotiate and obtain best value
- Review supplier proposals to support execution of compliant purchase orders that meet technical and business objectives of the internal customer organization; including technical evaluations, single/sole source decisions, weighting criteria, etc.
Basic Qualifications:
- This position emphasizes skills and experience. Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience or MS with 3 years of experience.
- Experience with Costpoint, SAP, or similar ERP system(s)
- MS Office, including but not limited to: Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
- This individual must be able to evaluate NGC terms and conditions, as well as technical requirements to support comprehensive review of supplier proposals to meet execution requirements and performance objectives
- Superior communication skills (written and verbal), leadership abilities, negotiation skills and the ability to team in a cross-functional environment are required to perform in this position.
- This individual must have ability to delineate supplier and NGC scope as it relates to performance and scope
- This individual must be a self-starter, capable of achieving organizational and program objectives, and able to interface with all levels of internal management, supplier management and Executive leadership when necessary.
- Excellent presentation skills across varying organizational levels will be required to keep internal customers and suppliers informed.
- Able to travel up to 25% of the time
- Must be a US Citizen
Preferred Qualifications
- 9 years of experience is preferred.
- The ideal candidate brings 3+ years of relevant experience from a large DoD organization coupled with a deep understanding of supply chain management and program management, particularly how those concepts can add value when applied to commercial engagements with major A&D suppliers
- Thorough knowledge of purchasing, subcontracts, and financial accumen.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to set the appropriate priorities to the many discrete and unique tasks that will be required to perform.
- Experience leading teams is desired as this individual may also be required to lead specialized groups for the purpose of achieving specific organization goals.
- Familiarity with US Government contracting requirements and compliance (FAR/DFARS)
- Ability to discern and analyze data to formulate and support effective negotiation strategies for the teams within GSC and internal business
- Problem solving, project management, and strong interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to develop and deploy strategic decision making and critical thinking
