The Corporate Global Business Development Office is seeking a Strategic Planning Analyst to support the enterprise's international growth objectives.
Located at Corp headquarters in Falls Church, VA, this position will support development of international focus country strategies, strategic assessments of key international markets, competitors, and partnerships, and provide analysis that supports senior executive decisions. In addition, the position will support the integration and coordination of the CGBDO strategic planning process with sector counterparts and enterprise functions. The analyst will also be responsible for supporting wide-ranging global enterprise business development initiatives for the Chief Global Business Development Officer. This is a terrific opportunity for candidates with the interest, skills and/or experience in global aerospace/defense strategic planning and analysis. This will require regular onsite work.
The position can be hired as a Level 3 or Level 4, based on the incumbent's experience and education.

The experienced analyst will be able to support assessments on international customer budgets, technology, and competitive trends. Core skills include critical/strategic thinking, business analysis and financial modelling, excellent writing ability, development of executive briefings, and strong data collection, manipulation, and processing ability. In addition, the candidate must have strong interpersonal skills, uncompromising integrity, the ability to engage stakeholders, and be able to communicate effectively. In a fast-changing environment, we seek a candidate who is curious and is in continuous learning mode to be ahead of the dynamic global market.

Primary Level Salary Range: $103,600.00 - $155,400.00
Secondary Level Salary Range: $129,300.00 - $193,900.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

Basic Qualifications for Level 3:
- Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 5 years' experience equivalent OR Master's Degree and a minimum of 3 years' experience equivalent
Basic Qualifications for Level 4:
- Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 9 years' experience equivalent OR Master's Degree and a minimum of 7 years' experience equivalent
Additional Basic Qualifications for both Levels
- Experience in business strategy development and strategic planning
- Experience leveraging data analytic techniques to generate business insights
- Experience analyzing at least one or more of the following; 1) Annual operating plans / long-range strategic plans 2) Sales/Pipeline forecasts and/or 3) international defense budget and market analysis/forecasting
- Superior analytical and writing skills, with an ability to distill complex, multi-faceted data and information into succinct executive-level briefs
- Demonstrated ability to take initiatives and pursue hypotheses analytically
- Strong communications skills, both written and oral, including the ability to generate written and briefing material to communicate to stakeholders at all levels
- Ability to work requisite hours to support executive deadline in fast-paced environment
- Ability to operate independently, dynamically manage priorities, and thrive in a multi-disciplinary, highly collaborative team environment
- A high level of proficiency with standard project management and Microsoft Office productivity software (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
- Must be able to obtain and maintain USG security clearance
- Must be able to travel up to 20%
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong proficiency in data manipulation and analytics, including identification, collection, processing and analyzing large volumes of data
- Advanced business data analytic skills acquired through formal education or on-the-job training
- Experience analyzing at least two or more of the following; 1) Annual operating plans / long-range strategic plans 2) Sales/Pipeline forecasts and/or 3) international defense budget and market analysis/forecasting
- Strong familiarity with various aerospace/defense market data sources
- Demonstrated knowledge in a defense market segment(s) or regional market(s)
- Knowledge of foreign language or experience living abroad preferred but not required
- Currently holds Secret clearance or above
