Job Summary: Systems Engineer II - Military GPS Systems
Location: San Diego, CA | Contract: 6 Months | Pay: $73.05/hr (W2)

Join Indotronix as a Systems Engineer II in San Diego, where you'll play a crucial part in advancing military GPS-based technology. This onsite position offers hands-on experience in both automated and manual testing, directly impacting mission-critical systems. Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive test procedures to validate military GPS-based systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve software, hardware, and network issues
- Organize system requirements and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (Mechanical, Electrical, Software)
- Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts to gather essential design and integration information
- Participate in verification and validation activities, including customer test events
- Create and maintain clear documentation for requirements, test results, and process improvements
- Communicate effectively with team leads and peers to report progress, issues, and support needs
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Systems Engineer (or 5 years relevant experience without a STEM degree)
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics
- Proficient in GPS systems, TCP/IP networking, switches/routers, and basic electronic circuitry
- Experience with both automated and manual test procedures
- Familiarity with software scripting languages
- Hands-on use of requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS)
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence)
- Strong peer review, configuration management, and communication skills
Preferred Skills
- Ability to work independently and make informed technical decisions with stakeholders
- Active and transferable SECRET security clearance
- Experience in technical risk assessment and mitigation
- Background in the full systems engineering lifecycle (requirements, integration, V&V)
- Exposure to rapid development or fast-paced project environments
- Familiarity with military systems, tactics, and technical drawings
- Strong interpersonal skills
