The journey begins here - with Global- a 1st Flagship Company, where we are currently looking for a Quality Assurance Supervisor to join our team.

What You'll Be Doing :

Reporting directly to the Quality Assurance/Inspections Manager, this position is responsible for supervising QA surveillance and monitoring activities while ensuring inspections, maintenance oversight, and inactivation processes are completed safely and effectively.
Responsibilities Include:
  • Supervise and assign work to Marine Inspectors and QA Monitors.
  • Conduct vessel inspections involving fire/flood systems, structural integrity, hull preservation, cathodic protection, CO2 systems, and dehumidification equipment.
  • Perform quality assurance inspections of ongoing and completed work and ensure corrective actions are completed.
  • Train ship personnel on inactivation and lay-up procedures.
  • Conduct compartment closeout inspections during decommissioning activities.
  • Inspect maintenance work, equipment removals, and cannibalization activities for quality, safety, and compliance.
  • Maintain inspection records, departmental files, and Technical Publication Library documentation.
  • Utilize Work Management System (WMS) and related systems to document deficiencies and inspection findings.
  • Execute Planned Maintenance System (PMS) actions and perform electrical checks using testing equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with QA manuals, SOPs, NSTM Chapter 050 requirements, and company policies.
  • Maintain professional working relationships with employees, military personnel, subcontractors, and government representatives.

What You'll Need to Succeed :
Minimum Requirements:
  • Knowledge of shipboard systems, maintenance procedures, and ship inactivation processes.
  • Working knowledge of QA procedures, sampling plans, AQLs, and inspection reporting.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office products and Work Management System (WMS).
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and ship documentation.
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to work aboard vessels in physically demanding and hazardous environments.
Preferred Requirements:
  • Associate degree in a technical field.
  • U.S. Navy or shipyard experience.
  • Shipyard Competent Person (Gas-Free) and AHERA Building Inspector certifications within 90-120 days of hire.
  • Experience with hazardous material or radiation-related inspections.
