Baer is looking for multiple SAP S4HANA Data Conversion Consultants for a 6+ month Federal remote project.

Project Overview:

Our client is leading a large-scale SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA transformation supporting a major branch of the Department of Defense (DoD). The program is executing a fit-to-standard S/4HANA implementation, minimizing customizations and aligning business processes to SAP Best Practices.

We are looking for multiple SAP Data Conversion Consultants with any of the following:

• SAP Plan to Report
• Plan to Stock
• Acquire to Retire
• Hire to Retire
• Order to Cash
• Budget to Report
• Procure to Pay.

Description:

• Lead the SAP module specific end-to-end data conversion workstream for the migration from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA.
• Serve as the primary lead between business stakeholders, functional leads, data migration teams, testing teams, and technical developers.
• Define and govern data conversion scope, mapping logic, transformation rules, cleansing priorities, validation criteria, and business signoff requirements for the module domain.
• Develop, review, and approve functional specifications, source-to-target mappings, business rules, and reconciliation requirements.
• Establish and enforce data quality requirements for data, including standards for completeness, accuracy, consistency, uniqueness, and readiness for cutover.
• Lead data issue triage and resolution, including defect prioritization, root cause analysis, risk escalation, and cross-team dependency management.
• Oversee mock conversions, cycle reviews, reconciliation activities, integration testing support, user validation, and cutover readiness.
• Provide leadership to the module team by assigning work, managing timelines, tracking deliverables, and ensuring quality of outputs.
• Support program governance by preparing status updates, risk and issue reporting, decision papers, and executive-ready communications.
• Ensure all conversion activities align with federal documentation, controls, auditability, and approval expectations.

Required Skills:

• Experience leading SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA migration or transformation efforts.
• Experience defining data quality standards and controls for large-scale ERP migration programs.
• Ability to lead across business and technical teams, resolve issues, and drive decisions in a complex stakeholder environment.
• Experience supporting testing, cutover planning, defect management, and deployment readiness.
• Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working in a federal agency or other highly regulated environment preferred.
