MTSI is seeking a Mission Planner Subject Matter Expert for the Family of Affordable Mass Munitions. In this role, you will serve as an expert for complex operational planning, systems integration, and test support of several weapons.

Role and Responsibilities:
- Operational & Strategic Planning: Apply expert knowledge of planning tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) to ensure compliance with directives. Coordinate future operational plans with Theater Operations Commands and Air Operational Centers.
- Mission Execution & Briefings: Develop long- and short-term planning products, including exercises and rehearsals. Develop and brief objectives, safety/resource constraints, budgets, and operational metrics.
- Partner Integration & Advisement: Support, evaluate, and educate foreign military partners, operational units, and component staffs on FAMM operations and the integration of the weapon systems into operational planning.
- Systems Management & Analysis: Utilize mission planning software to track subsystems, manage vehicle scheduling, document vehicle configurations, and generate detailed planning documents. Support operational analysis efforts on survivability-related topics.
- Capability Development: Design, test, and advise on new planning capabilities (e.g., route combing, target list importing, and route sketching). Conduct briefs and provide inputs to industry partners regarding improvements to current and follow-on mission planning systems (e.g., JMPS, NOMS).
Required Qualifications:
- Master of Science degree in Aeronautical, Electrical, Systems, Software, or similar engineering field and 18+ years of relevant experience encompassing requirements analysis/definition, technology planning, vehicle/systems design, systems integration, and advanced testing.
- Aerospace/Flight Systems: Extensive experience working with air vehicles, flight systems, missiles, and sensors. This includes hands-on experience in field testing, modeling and simulation, valuation, and analysis.
- Mission Planning: Demonstrated experience conducting operations and utilizing mission planning software. Possess qualitative and quantitative methods for the assessment and improvement of mission planning systems used for conducting mission and flight operations, such as for fighter, bomber, guided weapons, tactical training, special operations, exercise, contingency, or similar operations.
- Hardware & Testing Lifecycle: Extensive knowledge of integrated systems, milestone planning, hardware development, test planning processes/procedures, and handling data collection at a classified level. Capable of supporting design, test, and readiness reviews to ensure fully capable deliveries.
- Weapons & Tech: Comprehensive understanding of Air Combat Command (ACC) weapon systems.
- Possess strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills. Proven ability to operate effectively in a multi-tasking environment with minimal oversight, along with strong leadership and customer interface skills.
Desired Qualifications:
- PhD in Aeronautical, Electrical, Systems, Software, or similar engineering field
- Former operational military aircrew in air-to-ground weapon platforms in combat
- Graduate of the USAF Weapons School
- Flight test experience
Clearance Requirements:
- Top Secret
- Must be eligible for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access.
