ECS Systems Test Solution Section is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Product Line IV&V Lead Engineer to direct and mentor a team of Integration, Verification & Validation (IV&V) and Integration & Test (I&T) leads. This critical leadership role will be responsible for the successful execution of IV&V activities across an entire product line, ensuring the highest levels of quality, reliability, and safety. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in systems testing, demonstrated leadership abilities, and a commitment to fostering collaboration across multiple engineering disciplines. This position will be responsible for the planning, execution, and reporting of IV&V activities throughout the product lifecycle, providing an independent assessment to guarantee products meet stringent requirements and are safe for intended use.

Full-Time Salary Range: $149603 - $254317
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.

Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Functional Management: Provide functional leadership and guidance to IV&V and I&T Leads within a designated product line.
- IV&V Oversight: Oversee all IV&V activities for the assigned product line, ensuring adherence to established processes, standards, and best practices.
- Strategic Test Planning: Define and champion a comprehensive Program Test Strategy and implementation plan, encompassing all aspects of testing including modeling and simulation.
- Common Playbook Development: Help develop and maintain a common playbook for comprehensive integration and test solutions, covering process, methods, tools, and best practices, to standardize IV&V across the ECS portfolio.
- Requirements Collaboration: Actively participate in Systems Requirements definition, ensuring requirements are testable and verifiable.
- Test Plan & Procedure Development: Develop Formal Qualification Test Plans and Procedures (Key Performance Parameters - KPPs, Measures of Effectiveness - MOEs, Measures of Performance - MOPs).
- Test Execution: Develop system-level test plans, procedures, and define specific tests to validate system functionality.
- Tooling & Infrastructure: Specify requirements for necessary test toolsets, collaborating with the Test Evaluation and Installation Group for effective test execution.
- Reporting: collaborate and communicate IV&V status, reports, problem resolutions with internal management and external customers.
- Transition to Operations: Facilitate a smooth transition of integration and test activities with Operations (OPS), working closely with the Test Development Group.
- Resource Management: Manage test assets, lab, and facility use strategy in coordination with the Test Evaluation and Installation Group.
- Security & Compliance: Coordinate test site security and visitation procedures for government test sites.
- Lab Management: Ensure all lab testing is conducted properly, in accordance with contract requirements and established plans.
- Government Property Management: Manage Government Equipment (1149s) and Property Move Order database as applicable.
- Process Adherence: Ensure adherence to all BAE Systems procedures and policies.
- Safety & Security: Enforce critical doctrines such as safety, security, and calibration procedures.
- Risk Management: Assure the team adheres to the Safety Assessment Report and mitigates identified risks.
- Subsystem Validation: Review lower-level subsystem validation activities to ensure consistency and completeness.
- System Verification: Lead System Verification Testing and environmental testing activities.
- Metric Reporting: Generate and present product line IV&V metrics, providing insights into test coverage, defect rates, and overall product quality.
- Staffing: Assist in staffing IV&V and I&T Leads for the product line.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Engineering, Mathematics or Computer Science
- Experience: Minimum of [8-10] years of experience in systems testing, verification, and validation. Minimum [3-5] years of experience in a leadership or mentoring role, ideally within an IV&V environment. Experience with the development and testing of Electronic Warfare systems
- Strong understanding of testing methodologies, techniques, and tools.
- Experience developing and executing comprehensive test strategies and plans.
- Familiarity with requirements management and testability concepts.
- Knowledge of formal qualification testing processes (KPPs, MOEs, MOPs).
- Experience with government contracting and compliance requirements is a plus.
- Experience leading development of Electronic Warfare, RADAR, Communications, and/or Missile systems Experience with EW and/or Radar and Missile System
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and motivate a team of engineers.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Possess an Active US Government SECRET clearance or higher
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Bachelor's or Master's of Science degree in electrical engineering or computer science/engineering
- Experience leading integration and verification of Electronic Warfare, RADAR, Communications, and/or Missile systems Experience with EW and/or Radar and Missile Systems
- Experience with rapid, iterative, and agile development processes & tools
- General knowledge of MBSE methodologies to facilitate adoption within agile development environment
