Job Description

USNH Yokosuka Integrated Computer Logistics Support.
  • The contractor will research and conduct an analysis of the customer's request needs and perform technical research to identify, procure, and implement a required replacement.
  • The contractor will be responsible for ordering supplies, submitting equipment purchase packages, purchasing/renewing service/maintenance contracts, and all associated tasks thereunto pertaining.
  • The contractor will provide all necessary asset movement data to appropriate personnel for updates and tracking purposes.
  • The contractor will respond to customer requests/schedule to relocate equipment within one hour of notification.
  • The contractor will make regular trips between storage warehouses for restocking, inventory, or long-term storage of equipment, which will include driving on, and between bases.
  • The contractor will provide the necessary inventory and accounting data for all spaces containing IT equipment to include customer use and storage spaces.
  • The contractor will perform documentation and disposal of equipment to include hard drive destruction, scrap metal disposal, and HAZMAT disposal (i.e., Printer ink/toner and Laptop/Desktop batteries).
  • The contractor, in coordination with the USNH Yokosuka shipping/receiving division, will pack, stack, and wrap all IT Equipment being processed for disposal, shipping, or transfer to limit the possibility of any damage occurring to IT Assets while in transit.
  • The contractor will unpack, tag, and store all newly received IT equipment with the appropriate Property Tag(s), ECN stickers, and classification level stickers.
  • The contractor shall relocate/move IT Equipment to include new installation, asset replacement, refresh, and removal.
  • The contractor will liaise with USNH Yokosuka Materials Management Department to ensure that newly received items are added to the Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support IM/IT inventory and that all items removed from inventory for disposal/transfer are removed from the IM/IT DMLSS inventory.
  • The contractor shall assemble and connect all hardware and peripheral components of computer workstations at various USNH Yokosuka Contractor shall perform basic configuration of workstations and peripherals to facilitate installation and/or replacement.
  • The contractor shall check for missing or damaged parts and replace them with available spares to bring equipment to an operating condition.
  • The contractor will attend meetings as directed by the designated government representative.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Contractor personnel shall possess the necessary computer programming knowledge and skills necessary to carry out all assigned Logistics support duties, including knowledge of Microsoft Windows, the Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Exchange Server Administrator, the Composite Health Care System (CHCS), Windows networking concepts such as Windows NT/2000 Server, Active Directory, and use of Ethernet in the local area network.
  • Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance at a minimum for this position.
  • Contractor personnel shall possess the necessary knowledge and skills necessary to carry out all assigned duties.
