Our client is looking for a dynamic and experienced ServiceNow Software Delivery Manager (SDM) to lead high-impact development efforts supporting the Department of State. - Lead end-to-end delivery of ServiceNow enhancements, from concept through deployment.
- Evaluate new capabilities through proof-of-concept initiatives and recommend scalable solutions.
- Plan and manage delivery timelines, ensuring high-quality releases on schedule.
- Mentor and elevate Scrum Masters, developers, and business analysts through targeted training and coaching.
- Collaborate within Agile teams to design and deliver solutions that meet evolving customer needs.
- Conduct code reviews to ensure performance, security, and maintainability standards are met.
- Guide teams in building robust unit tests to support continuous improvement and system reliability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, ensuring smooth and stable system performance.
- Serve as a technical lead during sprint execution, ensuring requirements are clearly understood and effectively implemented.
- Promote best practices in source control, code quality, and development discipline.
- Partner with business and IT stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver impactful ServiceNow solutions.
- Work closely with ServiceNow administrators and stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
What you'll bring:
- U.S. Citizenship with an active Secret security clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong hands-on experience with ServiceNow development and/or administration.
- 5+ years of leadership or management experience in technical environments.
- 10+ years of overall experience in software development or related roles.
- Solid understanding of Agile methodologies, CI/CD, and modern SDLC practices.
- Experience with Java EE, web applications, web services, and SQL.
- Familiarity with version control and change management processes.
- Knowledge of secure coding practices and application security principles.
- Strong grasp of object-oriented design, design patterns, and modern web architectures.
- Experience building case management systems and working with test-driven development (TDD).
- Proven experience implementing continuous integration and delivery pipelines.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
