Senior Cloud Engineer
The Opportunity
This role supports modern DevSecOps environments where automation, repeatability, and secure cloud infrastructure are critical. The team is seeking an experienced cloud engineer with strong development skills and deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure, containerization, and networking.
You’ll help design and deliver secure cloud capabilities across multiple environments using Infrastructure‑as‑Code and automation. This position offers the opportunity to make a mission‑driven impact while contributing to the evolution of secure government cloud systems.
Required Experience
5+ years of experience building software solutions in secure or regulated cloud environments
3+ years of hands‑on experience implementing Infrastructure‑as‑Code using Terraform
2+ years of experience designing, developing, and deploying solutions in a major cloud platform
Experience automating the provisioning of cloud resources using IaC and scripting tools
Hands‑on experience with cloud services such as:
Compute and virtual machine services
Container and container orchestration platforms
Serverless compute and event‑driven services
Messaging, storage, and managed database services
Experience using code repositories and version control tools (e.g., Git‑based workflows) in a collaborative development environment
Strong understanding of networking concepts, including DNS, load balancing, virtual networks, private connectivity, and TLS
Education & Certifications
High School Diploma or GED with 8+ years of software engineering experience
OR
Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of software engineering experience
DoD 8570 or 8140 IAT Level II certification
Nice to Have
Experience building, securing, and optimizing cloud workloads
Familiarity with cloud governance controls, organization‑level policies, and identity and access management best practices
Security Requirement
Active Secret clearance required
