Job Description
We are seeking a highly technical Senior Product (PM) & Engineering Manager (EM) to own and accelerate our client's Federal roadmap. This is a full-time (direct-hire) position with a federal-focused engineering organization experiencing hyper-growth. The person best fit for this role balances drive for speed with drive for impact and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative context.
An active Top Secret security clearance is required. Work is primarily performed remotely, however regular client meetings in the Washington D.C. area are to be expected.
As a PM/EM focused on the Federal product portfolio, you’ll use your analytical and technical expertise to define, deliver, and enhance advanced AI-driven offensive to inform defensive security capabilities and drive product adoption for the full buying committee, from Security practitioners through Commanders at all levels in the Federal market ranging from Federal Civilian Agencies through US Department of War organizations. This leadership position must balance management of a product with team leadership to develop superior outcomes.
You’ll partner closely with Engineering, GTM (Go-To-Market), and Executives and use this vantage point to craft a compelling roadmap. You’ll design and execute roadmap initiatives and build new capabilities to bring AI-native cybersecurity to life in highly regulated environments while gaining and maintaining Authorizations to Operate across a variety of Federal Compliance Frameworks.
This role will report to the Director of Federal Operations, and take a leadership role in driving the evolution of our AI-powered offerings for the Federal market.
Responsibilities:
Define and Deliver AI-Native Cybersecurity Capabilities
• Lead engineering teams to scope and deliver ML- and GenAI-enabled features such as anomaly detection, alert enrichment, and remediation inference
• Define product strategy and product marketing for Federally Compliant product capabilities, such as web application pen-testing, threat intelligence, threat detection and response, vuln risk intelligence
• Collaborate with attack engineers and business intelligence to translate cybersecurity research into practical applications for detection, response, emerging threats, and attack emulation
• Identify market opportunities for differentiating our client's AI cybersecurity offerings across verticals and maturity levels within the Federal market
Enhance Existing Offensive / Defensive Capabilities
• Partner with GTM to define and drive growth and stickiness of capabilities such as AI-enabled alerts and recommendations, improve attack capabilities, and enhance platform performance in regulated environments.
• Synthesize customer feedback (via VRTs, field conversations, support events, and usage data) to refine and improve offensive/defensive capabilities
• Lead engineering teams through enhancement sprints and continuous improvement efforts that improve accuracy, precision, and value of AI-generated insights and features
• Monitor usage, adoption, and efficacy of capabilities, make data-driven decisions and manage roadmap for ownership area
• Partner with Compliance Specialists, Security Teammates, and Engineers to ensure ATO CONMON procedures and requirements are met on time and to standard.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a technology-related field
• 5+ years of startup PM experience with technical B2B products
• 3+ years experience with AI focused products, ideally within the cybersecurity industry
• Leadership skills and experience that demonstrate the ability to set the standard, connect day-to-day work to the broader mission, and create an environment where people can do the best work of their careers in support of our customers.
• Experience operating Cloud Products or workloads in highly regulated environments to include Classified networks.
• Technical aptitude - experience diving deep into highly technical topics, ideally across multiple industries, products, and tech stacks
• Analytics - advanced skills in data analysis using tools like Excel, SQL, (Tableau) BI, and ideally Python
• Written communication - ability to use modern tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Claude) to quickly and concisely write documents and emails
• Bias towards action - default to action to drive impact quickly
• Growth mindset - experience delaying judgement and being a quick study
• Executive presence - experience working directly with executives to drive strategy and execute against success criteria
• Verbal communication - demonstrated thoughtfulness of professional strengths, development areas, successes, failures, and goals
• Servant leadership - demonstrated humility as a means of driving initiatives forward (instinctive “any problem is my problem to solve”)
