The Erebus Program is a newly awarded 7-year effort that delivers cutting-edge intelligence and geospatial data management applications and services to the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA). As the premier geospatial intelligence program globally, Erebus supports over 14,000 intelligence analysts and decision-makers at 50 distinct locations worldwide.
The Program's focus is on meeting the current mission needs of our customer but also pioneering future automation solutions for the NGA based on agency directives. Reporting into the Engineering & Technology organization of Space, the selected agile leader will:
• Directly and indirectly support the execution of classified and unclassified programs via a combination of direct program work and indirect staffing support, engineering planning, workforce management, and organizational strategy
• Manage a team of roughly 18-25 engineers
• Have direct cost, execution, and schedule oversight for project/program budgets
• Lead, drive, and energize a team of multiple skills and job disciplines across multiple product areas
• Adapt to agile management methods that will require a dynamic staffing approach, depending on the time-phased needs of the program
• Deliver on Functional Management tasks related to personnel such as career development, salary planning, training, employee development, succession planning, and the execution of strategic staffing initiatives
Agile leader duties will include at least one of the following based on need and experienced skillset: product ownership/management, cost account management, release management, escalation and removal team impediments, management of risk and the drive for continuous improvement.
Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or above
• Experience in software engineering, software leadership, or a related technical discipline in a leadership role.
• Proven experience in full life cycle Software Development
• Proven technical leadership skills with ability to lead a multidisciplinary team
• Experience developing detailed plans in support of technical assignments
• Active TS/SCI clearance required to start. Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with a CI Poly. Top Secret with and investigation within five years required to apply.
Desired Skills:
• Knowledge of embedded systems architectures and test experience using embedded systems.
• Agile development experience
• Prior engineering management or project lead experience including task planning, resource management, and employee development and mentoring

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $134,000 - $236,325. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
