The Business Financial Manager is a junior-level financial professional responsible for supporting financial operations, billing processes, and revenue tracking across a large-scale federal service center and cloud hosting program. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and heavy use of Microsoft Excel and enterprise systems to manage financial data across several mission systems.
Responsibilities:
Customer Bill Model (CBM) Management
Serve as the primary owner of the Microsoft Excel-based Customer Bill Model (CBM)
Maintain billing data for 260+ Mission Owner systems
Process all requests from the change queue in ServiceNow
Generate and distribute updated billing reports to Mission Owners
Maintain configuration control and version management of the CBM
Upload updated CBM files to Microsoft Teams for visibility
Respond to Mission Owner billing inquiries and resolve discrepancies
Revenue Collection
Generate and transmit required data files to designated Points of Contact (POCs)
Collaborate with team members to resolve Service Center Fee (SCF) rejections
Maintain and update the Revenue Delinquency Tracker in Excel
Delinquency Management
Generate and distribute delinquency notices to Mission Owners
Ensure alignment between internal systems prior to notification
Track and follow up with Mission Owners at risk of service disruption
Coordinate funding status updates and communications
Additional Support
Monitor and respond to emails in the BFM team distribution inbox
Assist with tracking and reporting activities for the NWA Tracker
Support general financial operations and reporting needs for the division
Requirements/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Business or Technical Field
Three (3) year of experience in engineering/science management, operations research analysis or financial/cost analysis.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, especially advanced Microsoft Excel
Familiarity with financial reporting, budgeting, or analytics (preferred but not required)
Experience with enterprise tools such as ServiceNow or financial systems (preferred)
Must be able to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Security Clearance
Ability to follow procedures accurately and escalate issues appropriately
Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Motivated to learn new technologies and grow technical expertise
Must be a US citizen
Must hold or be able to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Security Clearance
