Job Description

USGI is seeking a Project Coordinator to provide vital staff support and subject matter expertise to fulfill the multiple mandates and programs on behalf of the Department of Health and Human Services for the U.S. government such as the new task assigned to the OSP Biosecurity team to lead efforts to strengthen oversight related to critical life sciences research with potential biosafety and biosecurity implications and the intersection of biosecurity and bioeconomy, and in addition, staff provide support for the monitoring of biosafety practices and containment principles as outlined by the NIH Guidelines.

Representative Functional Roles: Project coordination, project goal alignment, work plan development, team manager, report delivery, schedule management

Functional Responsibility: Responsible for the day-to-day functions of the project. Align projects with business goals, construct detailed work plans, manage the team, achieve all milestones for the success of meeting the project goals. Establishes budgets, financial reports, interfaces with client to reassure that the project is meeting the objectives and schedules. Coordinate and communicate the results across all key stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 8 years total experience
  • BS/BA Degree in a Business or Technical Field or three (3) year additional experience
