We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary range of $155,000 - $175,000. Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline. A Splunk Dashboard Developer job in Beltsville, MD is currently available through Belcan at one of our key Federal Civilian clients. To be considered for this role, you will have a bachelor's degree and 14 years of relevant experience.
Job Duties:
- Develop and maintain dashboards natively within Splunk using SPL (Search Processing Language) and Dashboard Studio / Simple XML.
- Optimize dashboards for performance, scalability, and usability with large data sets.
- Collaborate with NT leadership, engineers, operators, and stakeholders to ensure dashboards meet operational and mission requirements.
- Assist in data modeling, reporting, and access control configuration for secure and effective information sharing.
- Support documentation and training for dashboard users.
Required Qualifications:
- Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
- Bachelor's degree and fourteen (14) years of experience, or a master's degree and twelve (12) years of experience.
- Strong experience with Splunk dashboard development and SPL query language.
- Proven ability to design and optimize Splunk dashboards for large, complex datasets.
- Experience translating operational requirements into actionable visualizations.
- Familiarity with collaborative tools for sharing dashboards across teams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience in a government environment.
- Familiarity with IT-related (specifically network) data and metrics.
- Familiarity with IT operations, monitoring, or ticketing platforms such as ServiceNow.
- Ability to use APIs to pull data from Splunk for custom reporting or integrations.
- Some Power BI experience for cases where Splunk dashboards may not meet all visualization needs.
