  • Support program planning by integrating risk mitigation strategies into systems engineering processes, acquisition schedules, and lifecycle activities
  • Prepare and deliver executive-level briefings and reports to communicate risk status, mitigation progress, and emerging issues to leadership
  • Facilitate Risk Management Working Groups and Risk Management Boards (RMBs), including action item tracking and meeting coordination
  • Develop and maintain the Risk, Issue, and Opportunity Management Plan (RIOMP) in compliance with DoD policies and guidance
  • Apply data-driven analysis and statistical methods to identify root causes and improve risk mitigation strategies
  • Support lifecycle cost estimation, budget recommendations, resource alignment, and Test & Evaluation (T&E) activities to ensure system effectiveness and safety
  • Adapt risk management frameworks and reporting structures to align with evolving acquisition phases and program milestones
  • Operate effectively in fast-paced, high-pressure environments, making timely and informed decisions

Required Qualifications:
  • U.S. Citizenship and an active secret clearance (must be able to maintain)
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in risk management, program management, or defense acquisition
  • Experience supporting defense acquisition programs, aviation systems, or complex technical projects
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, including statistical and data-driven analysis
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience briefing senior leadership
  • Experience working in DoD, federal, aerospace, or defense environments

Preferred Qualifications
