Job Description:
Assembles, disassembles and/or modifies systems by changing, removing, replacing or upgrading aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement changes. Oversees assembly, disassembly or overhaul. Configures aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment. Troubleshoots complex pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components. Performs validation/verification testing of systems and components. Documents procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance (e.g., repairs, test results, applicable modifications and inspection results). Inspects components and verifies repairs for flight worthiness requirements. Oversees training. Works under general direction.
Position Responsibilities:
Technician maintains the following: Aircraft seats and canopy ejection systems, Gaseous O2, fire extinguishing, air conditioning, cockpit heat, pressurization and ventilation
Remove and install Oxygen system valves, gauges, converters and regulators.
Remove, install, inspect and rig ejection seats, Cartridge Actuation Devices (CADS), shoulder harnesses and lap belts.
Perform Daily, pre and post flight and periodic aircraft inspections.
Assembles, disassembles and/or modifies systems by changing, removing, replacing or upgrading aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement changes.
Oversees assembly, disassembly or overhaul.
Configures aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment.
Troubleshoots complex pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components.
Performs validation/verification testing of systems and components.
Documents procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance (e.g., repairs, test results, applicable modifications and inspection results).
Inspects components and verifies repairs for flight worthiness requirements. Oversees training. Works under general direction.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Minimum 5 years aviation maintenance experience in egress, survival equipment, and/ or related aircraft systems
Experience installing/removing F-18 ejection seats
Experience reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and maintenance procedures
Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform maintenance tasks in confined spaces or elevated positions
Valid passport and ability to travel internationally
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Fighter Structural modification experience
Ability to safely handle explosive devices and hazardous components
Fighter Electrical modification experience
Education / Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate+2 years' related work, Bachelor, etc.).
