Job Description:
Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Experienced and Lead Level Model-Based Systems Engineer.
Position Responsibilities:
* Support/lead system architecture development and decomposition using MBSE (SysML/Cameo) to define interfaces, functions, and allocation across multiple domains
* Support/lead cross-functional engineering teams in developing systems to meet program commitments, including support of design reviews
* Support/lead the program in implementing MBSE as part of broad digital engineering ecosystem
* Support/lead Systems Engineering efforts such as requirements decomposition, system architecture, system analysis, specification development, trade studies, program planning, interfaces management, risk management, certification planning & execution, verification & test planning, and overall integration and capture them in the MBSE model as appropriate
Travel may be required up to 10% of the time; Domestically and/or Internationally depending on business needs.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
* Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (including manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
* (Level 4) 7+ years of work-related engineering experience with a Bachelor's or 3+ years of work-related engineering experience with a relevant Master's or PhD
* Prior Systems Engineering experience to include but not limited to system design, functional decomposition, requirements development, analysis, verification, and validation
* Experience with MBSE, Cameo/MSOSA, and/or SysML
Preferred Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
* Demonstrated experience developing system architectures for complex aerospace vehicles or subsystems using MBSE (SysML/MSOSA)
* Prior leadership in system architecture or lead systems engineering roles; experience communicating architectural tradeoffs to stakeholders and customers
* Understanding of various engineering analyses, including affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success
* Familiarity with aircraft/flight systems and domain-specific engineering (ME, EE, SW) to evaluate integration impacts.
Education / Experience:
* Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (including manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
