Job Description
FWI is building a team to deliver professional and administrative support services for the Court Services and Offender Supervision Agency (CSOSA) in Washington, DC. As a Policy Analyst, you will drive the development and continuous improvement of agency policy - researching and drafting new federal policies and procedures, reviewing existing policies for regulatory compliance, engaging stakeholders across the agency, analyzing policy impacts and cost-benefit tradeoffs, and monitoring implementation effectiveness, all while ensuring CSOSA's policies are clear, current, and aligned with its public safety mission.

Work Schedule and Location:
On-Site: This full-time on-site position will work Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm in Washington, DC.
Responsibilities
- Research, develop, analyze, and recommend policies and procedures for designated agency programs
- Draft new policies and procedures; review and revise existing policies to ensure they are current, effective, and compliant with federal regulations
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather input and feedback on policy drafts
- Analyze the impact of proposed policies on the agency and its operations; assess effectiveness of current policies
- Conduct cost-benefit analyses and risk assessments for proposed policy changes as necessary
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations on policy analysis and recommendations
- Monitor the implementation of new and revised policies and evaluate effectiveness
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum 7 years of experience analyzing policy requirements and drafting written policy in a federal environment
- Strong analytical skills and excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Deep understanding of the policymaking process within the federal government
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance
