Senior Geospatial Integration Architect

Job Description

Strategic ACI is seeking a Senior Geospatial Integration Architect to serve as the principal technical authority responsible for architecting, integrating, and governing NGA's enterprise geospatial ecosystem in support of ESRI GIS consolidation and broader eGIS modernization objectives. This role provides strategic systems integration leadership to ensure interoperability across ESRI platforms, NGA enterprise services, cloud environments, storage architectures, GOTS capabilities, and open-source geospatial technologies. In this position you will ensure enterprise architecture decisions support mission effectiveness, scalability, interoperability, and long-term modernization while reducing technical risk and vendor lock.

Responsibilities:

• Enterprise Geospatial Architecture management.
• Design and guide enterprise architecture for NGA's consolidated eGIS ecosystem.
• Establish technical integration patterns across ESRI, cloud, GOTS, open-source, and enterprise platforms.
• Define scalable architectural frameworks supporting current and future geospatial mission requirements.
• Ensure interoperability across technologies, vendors, and mission environments.
• Systems Integration & Engineering.
• Lead integration of geospatial applications, data services, storage solutions, and cloud deployments.
• Guide deployment strategies for ArcGIS Enterprise within complex NGA infrastructure environments.
• Coordinate with cloud engineers, infrastructure teams, and cybersecurity stakeholders to ensure technical alignment.
• Support Kubernetes, containerization, and cloud-native deployment considerations where applicable.
• Evaluate infrastructure, storage, and compute requirements to optimize enterprise GIS performance.
• Technical governance & advisory requirements.
• Serve as senior advisor for technical trade studies, design reviews, and architecture governance boards.
• Deconflict architecture decisions across competing technical stakeholders.
• Guide standards for integration, interoperability, and technical modernization.
• Ensure enterprise solutions balance mission needs, technical sustainability, and future extensibility.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Active TS/SCI Clearance with current/active polygraph.
• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, GIS, Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of enterprise systems integration, architecture, or geospatial systems engineering experience.
• Deep knowledge of ESRI enterprise architecture and ArcGIS ecosystem.
• Experience integrating enterprise technologies across cloud, storage, networking, and application layers.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, enterprise hosting environments, or cloud deployment architectures.
• Strong understanding of NGA, NSG, GEOINT, or IC enterprise systems.
• Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks and systems modernization.

Desired:

• Master's degree in related field.
• Experience with hybrid ESRI/Open Source/GOTS ecosystems.
• Cloud certifications or architecture credentials.
• DoDAF, TOGAF, or enterprise architecture framework familiarity.
