Aircraft Mechanic II

Location: Marine Corps Air Station New River
Reports To: Site Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Pay Rate: $32.10/hour + $5.09/hour Health & Welfare (HW)
Position Summary
Jadin Tech is seeking an experienced Aircraft Mechanic II to support maintenance operations at MCAS New River, NC. The selected candidate will perform troubleshooting, inspection, repair, and maintenance of aircraft structures, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, and related components in support of U.S. Marine Corps aviation operations.
This position requires experience working on rotary-wing or tiltrotor aircraft platforms, the ability to interpret technical publications and schematics, and experience performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance in accordance with military and FAA standards.
Candidates must possess an active Secret clearance and be eligible for installation access and CAC credentials.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Perform troubleshooting, inspection, repair, removal, replacement, and installation of aircraft structural and mechanical components
• Perform scheduled, unscheduled, phase, and special maintenance inspections in accordance with Maintenance Requirement Cards (MRCs)
• Utilize technical publications including:
◦ Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs)
◦ Maintenance Instruction Manuals (MIMs)
◦ Maintenance Requirement Cards (MRCs)
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical data
• Troubleshoot aircraft hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Use common hand tools, calibrated equipment, and specialized support equipment safely and effectively
• Operate support equipment required for flight line maintenance operations
• Research, interpret, and comply with Technical Directives (TDs)
• Maintain accurate maintenance documentation and records
• Follow all safety procedures and flight line precautions
• Work effectively with supervisors, team leads, and team members in a professional environment
• Maintain eligibility for government installation access
• Develop the proficiency required to qualify as an Airframes Collateral Duty Inspector (CDI)

Minimum Qualifications
• Minimum of five (5) years of aviation maintenance experience
• Minimum of two (2) years of V-22 aircraft experience
◦ Preferred U.S. Marine Corps MOS 6156 background
• Experience with one or more of the following aircraft platforms:
◦ CH/MH-53E
◦ AH-1Z
◦ UH-1Y
◦ V-22
• FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License required
• High school diploma or GED equivalent required
• Ability to obtain and maintain CAC access
• Active Secret security clearance required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Knowledge of aircraft maintenance procedures and flight line operations
• Understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and structural aircraft systems
• Ability to interpret technical manuals and engineering drawings
• Familiarity with aircraft plumbing, piping, and electrical system color coding
• Ability to safely work around aircraft and support equipment
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a team-oriented maintenance environment

Physical Requirements and Work Environment
• Frequently required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and climb ladders or stairs
• Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Exposure to loud noise, fumes, dust, and aircraft operational environments
• Requires close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and color vision
• Occasional travel may be required

Security Clearance Requirement
• Active Secret clearance required
• Must be able to maintain required security clearance and installation access throughout employment
