• Lead thermal analysis activities across missile components, subsystems, and integrated aerospace systems
• Develop and maintain high-fidelity thermal models using tools such as NX, Simcenter, SINDA/Fluent, and Thermal Desktop
• Perform preliminary thermal calculations and reduced-order modeling to support early-stage design trades
• Analyze aerospace thermal environments including conduction, convection, radiation, aerodynamic heating, and transient mission effects
• Translate program requirements into thermal design criteria and verification strategies
• Support Thermal Vacuum (TVAC) and environmental testing activities including instrumentation strategy and data correlation
• Present thermal analysis results during technical reviews with customers, leadership, and engineering teams
• Collaborate with structures, propulsion, manufacturing, materials, and quality teams to develop producible thermal solutions
• Support Thermal Protection System (TPS) design, material selection, and thermal integration activities
• Contribute to thermal architecture development across full product lifecycle efforts
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related discipline
• Significant professional experience in thermal and thermofluids analysis including heat transfer, thermophysics, fluid mechanics, or aerodynamics
• Experience using industry-standard thermal analysis tools such as Thermal Desktop, SINDA, TSS, NX, or Simcenter
