Job Title: Circuit Design Engineer III
Location: Englewood, CO & Littleton, CO
Type of Role: Direct Hire (Full-Time, Onsite)
Shift: 9x80 Schedule (Every other Friday off)
Pay: $97,100 – $171,235/year
POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a Circuit Design Engineer to support advanced avionics and missile defense programs within a high-security aerospace environment. This role is responsible for electronic circuit card assembly (CCA) design, schematic capture, electronics analysis, and troubleshooting activities supporting mission-critical avionics systems. The ideal candidate has strong experience in electronics design, hardware development, and cross-functional engineering collaboration, and thrives in a fast-paced Integrated Product Development (IPD) environment supporting next-generation aerospace systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
• Design and capture electrical schematics for avionics hardware systems
• Guide and support printed circuit board (PCB/CCA) layout development
• Perform Worst Case Analysis (WCA) and Electrical Parts Stress Analysis (EPSA)
• Support development and integration of advanced avionics and missile systems
• Participate in cross-functional engineering efforts across hardware development lifecycles
• Resolve test anomalies and support troubleshooting activities
• Generate, review, and present Product Certification documentation
• Support system-level integration and testing efforts
• Support technical evaluation of hardware designs and requirements verification activities
• Collaborate with peers, management, subcontractors, and government customers throughout development efforts
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
• Experience in electronics design with focus on Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) design and development
• Experience serving as a technical lead or responsible engineer
• Experience supporting aerospace hardware development lifecycle activities
• Missile design experience
• Active DoD Secret clearance required
• U.S. Citizenship required
Additional Qualifications
• Experience leading teams through technical and programmatic challenges
• Experience supporting Space and/or Missile Defense programs
• Experience with electronic systems schematic creation and interpretation
• Experience using electronics modeling and simulation tools such as SPICE, PSPICE, or Saber
• Experience with schematic capture tools including Zuken or equivalent software
• Experience performing electronics analyses including:
• Worst Case Analysis (WCA)
• Electrical Parts Stress Analysis (EPSA)
• Failure Modes and Effects Critical Analysis (FMECA)
• Strong communication and presentation skills with ability to explain complex technical concepts
• Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, collaborative engineering environments
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and conflict resolution skills
• Self-motivated with ability to solve complex technical problems independently
• Experience building consensus across multidisciplinary engineering teams
