We are a rapidly growing organization seeking experienced MECM Systems Administrators to operate and maintain the Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) deployment supporting the DISA Joint Service Provider (JSP). MECM is the production tool used to manage Windows endpoints across the OSD forest, OMS, and Platform Management domains, providing inventory, software distribution, OS imaging, settings management, and security management on NIPR, SIPR, TS-C, and JWICS networks. This posting covers Subject Matter Expert (Intermediate) and System Administrator openings on the MECM team.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate and maintain MECM in accordance with vendor best practices for both servers and endpoints across NIPR, SIPR, TS-C, and JWICS environments.

Ensure MECM systems are maintained and updated with the latest Management Packs, hotfixes, and cumulative updates.

Utilize MECM Management Insights to identify priorities and group targets, and use the Power BI MECM Reporting tool to surface client health and deployment status.

Track and maintain images and update baselines for OS deployments and task sequences.

Provide virtual software deployment reporting and installations, task sequence reports, software update compliance, software update deployments, client status, content status, and custom reports for Enterprise or Enclave requirements.

Perform service restoration and service restores to address system issues and keep MECM available and operational; meet established Group 1 restoral times.

Schedule and perform backups and store backups away from the proximity of the physical system to minimize exposure.

Provide weekly status reports on Microsoft Endpoint Operational Status, including client health and deployment progress.

Develop and deploy patches via MECM/SCCM in support of cyber compliance and IAVM remediation; coordinate with the Cyber Compliance team to remediate STIG and IAVM findings within mandated suspense dates.

Coordinate with JSP, JP5, and JP7 during major system upgrades and hardware lifecycle refresh activities and follow the JSP Enterprise Change Management framework for all changes.

Minimum Qualifications:

Five (5) or more years of hands-on experience administering Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM/SCCM) at enterprise scale, including software distribution, OS deployment, software update management, and endpoint compliance.

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, WSUS, PKI, and SQL Server (as a back-end for MECM).

Experience producing MECM reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and/or Power BI.

Experience deploying patches and hot fixes against required deadlines for various operating system platforms; PowerShell scripting strongly preferred.

Working knowledge of DoD STIGs, IAVM compliance, and integration of MECM with cyber tools (ACAS, Tanium, HBSS/ESS).

Familiarity with OSD imaging, task sequences, application packaging, and driver management for enterprise endpoints.

For the SME (Intermediate) variant, demonstrated experience leading MECM design or major upgrade efforts is required.

Strong troubleshooting, written, and verbal communication skills.

Education Requirement:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Telecommunications, Management Information Systems, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and five (5) recent years of documented relevant experience.

Clearance Requirement:

U.S. Citizenship

Active Secret Clearance (or higher)

Must meet DoD 8570.01-M / DoD 8140 IAT Level II baseline certification requirements prior to start (e.g., Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, or equivalent). Computing Environment certification appropriate to the role is also required.

Work Environment:

100% onsite at a government facility within the National Capital Region (NCR), primarily at the Pentagon, Crystal Gateway, Taylor Building, Mark Center, or other JSP-designated alternate site. Must be local to the DC Metro Area with reliable transportation.

Must comply with all DoD, DISA, and JSP security and access protocols, including the ability to access NIPRNet and SIPRNet environments.
