Job Description
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Client Partnership & Pre-Sales Leadership: Partner closely with Client Directors and sales counterparts to shape opportunities, align technical strategies, and develop winning solutions that address client mission and business objectives
Trusted Technical Advisor: Serve as a trusted advisor to DoD and Department of the Navy (DoN) customers, providing strategic guidance, technical expertise, and thought leadership across infrastructure, networking, data center, cloud, and cybersecurity domains
Solution Architecture & Design: Lead the design of end-to-end, scalable, and secure solutions that align with customer requirements and operational environments, ensuring technical excellence and mission relevance
Technical Strategy & Opportunity Shaping: Engage early in the sales cycle to influence customer requirements, define solution approaches, and position CyKor capabilities effectively within competitive pursuits
Proposal & Capture Support: Support proposal development by contributing technical volumes, architecture diagrams, and solution narratives that clearly articulate approach, value, and differentiation
Client Engagement & Presentations: Deliver executive-level briefings, technical presentations, and solution walkthroughs that communicate complex concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal engineering, architecture, and delivery teams to ensure proposed solutions are feasible, aligned with capabilities, and positioned for successful execution
Compliance & Security Alignment: Design solutions aligned with DoD and Navy cybersecurity and compliance frameworks, including RMF, NIST, and Zero Trust principles
Solution Documentation & Transition: Develop clear and concise technical documentation and support the transition of awarded work to delivery teams, ensuring continuity and alignment
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered
7+ years of experience in solution architecture, systems engineering, or pre-sales within DoD environments
Demonstrated experience supporting DoD/Navy or DoW clients
Proven track record supporting capture and proposal efforts for federal contracts
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
Strong understanding of DoD and Navy network architectures and environments
Experience with Zero Trust architectures, identity, and secure access solutions
Experience designing solutions across hybrid cloud, edge, and on-premise environments
Familiarity with resilient communications, SD-WAN, SASE, and secure mobility
Ability to create architecture diagrams and technical documentation
PREFERRED SKILLS:
Relevant OEM certifications (Cisco, Dell, Google, etc.)
Active security clearance
Exposure to DevSecOps, automation, and infrastructure-as-code is a plus
