DevSecOps Engineer

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to support a mission-critical program in Washington, DC. The DevSecOps Engineer will support Infrastructure & Operations as well as Software Development initiatives, with a strong focus on administering and optimizing Microsoft Azure DevOps Server 2022 in an on-prem environment. This position is fully onsite in Washington, DC and requires an active Top Secret clearance!

Responsibilities of the DevSecOps Engineer include:

• Administer and maintain Microsoft Azure DevOps Server 2022 in an on-premises environment
• Perform installation, configuration, patching, updates, and ongoing support of Azure DevOps Server
• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support secure software delivery processes
• Assist developers with server connectivity, repository creation, and source control management
• Partner with infrastructure teams to troubleshoot and resolve server and application issues
• Support DevSecOps initiatives by integrating security practices throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
• Develop and maintain technical documentation for DevOps and DevSecOps processes and procedures
• Advise developers, engineers, and leadership on DevSecOps best practices and policy implementation
• Evaluate and recommend tools and technologies to enhance CI/CD pipeline automation and security
• Collaborate across software development, infrastructure, and operations teams to improve deployment efficiency and reliability

Qualifications of the DevSecOps Engineer include:

• Active Top Secret clearance required
• Bachelor's Degree required; advanced degree preferred
• 10+ years of professional experience in DevOps, DevSecOps, Systems Engineering, or related disciplines
• Proven experience administering Microsoft Azure DevOps Server 2022 in an on-prem environment
• Experience with installation, updates, troubleshooting, and ongoing administration of Azure DevOps Server
• Strong experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
• Knowledge of DevSecOps principles, secure SDLC practices, and software development methodologies
• Experience supporting developers with repository management and server integrations
• Familiarity with infrastructure troubleshooting and enterprise server support
• Strong documentation, communication, and collaboration skills

Preferred Skills:

• Experience supporting federal government or DOJ environments
• Familiarity with infrastructure automation and configuration management tools
• Experience advising leadership on DevSecOps strategy and governance
• Knowledge of secure software development and compliance frameworks

Compensation for the DevSecOps Engineer includes:

• Salary: $140,000 - $160,000 depending on experience
