Description:
You will be the Quality Engineer for a position in Grand Prairie, TX. Our team is responsible for ensuring program quality across proposals, development, production, and support.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Quality Engineer you will be responsible for managing the implementation and execution of program quality requirements throughout the proposal and program lifecycle.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Proficient in the areas of proposals, Basis of Estimate
(BOE), contract review, program start-up, production,
and support.
Requires an understanding of quality tasks across
quality functions including hardware, software,
systems, suppliers / sub-contractors, and customers.
Collaborate and partners with other functions
including Program Manager, Proposal Manager,
Contracts, Engineering, Global Supply Chain,
Manufacturing, Production and Customers.
Support all programs proposals for Guided, Missile,
Launcher and Advanced Programs.
Assist in establishing quality budgets and cost
commitments.
Participate in independent reviews including Readiness
Acceptance Check (RAC), customer proposal / BOE
reviews, customer negotiations, Defense Contract
Audit Agency (DCAA) audits, Programs Reviews and
Executive Leadership Proposals Reviews.
Ability to work independently with minimal direct
supervision
Must be able to meet proposal deadlines and to
support all proposal activities
Effectively communicate and interface with other
functions

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must possess an Interim Secret clearance to start.
Basic Qualifications:
Technical Engineering (STEM - Engineering / Science)
degree at the Bachelor level or above
Must be a US Citizen and have ability to obtain Interim Secret clearance prior to start
Understanding of the Quality Management System
(QMS) and Quality Engineering
Proficient in writing Proposal and Basis of Estimate
(BOEs)
Strong knowledge of creating an accurate, complete,
correct, current and competitive Proposals / Basis of
Estimate (BOE)
Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications:
Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Ability to interpret Drawings, Specifications, Contracts
and other engineering requirements
Demonstrate ability to use causal analysis tools to analyze and resolve technical/process issues varying from basic to very complex
An understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
Experience in disposition of non-conforming products
Knowledge of Configuration and Data Management
Experience in establishing Performance metrics for identifying process improvement
Desired Skills:
Active Secret Clearance
Engineering or Quality experience developing
methods, work instructions and procedures for the
inspection of manufactured products
Experience as a Control Account Manager and
knowledge of Earned Value Management Systems
Demonstrated understanding of audit
Experience in establishing Performance Metrics for
identifying process improvement
Strong knowledge in Industry recognized Quality systems such as International (ISO) Aerospace (AS), and FAA Regulations.
Experience working with Government Customers.
Strong organizational skills, attention to details, ability
to work in a dynamic environment and the ability to
multi-task
Effective communication skills including written, oral,
listening, presentation, technical writing, collaboration
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
